Tuesday.

Despite going to sleep late, Lincoln woke up at 6:30am. It wasn't easy, it took multiple snooze buttons for her to wake up. Lincoln walked to the kitchen and got out the biggest pot she could find to fill with water. Once it was filled she placed it on the stove to boil. While the water was boiling she made her self a cup of coffee and then made Parker's school lunch. Lincoln made herself a slice of toast with butter and jelly on it to eat with her coffee. Just as she finished her coffee the water was starting to boil. Lincoln turned off the heat and carefully carried the pot to the bathroom. She stripped out of her clothes, wincing at the cold air hitting her bare skin. Lincoln turned on the cold water, allowing it to mix with the boiling hot water. She cleaned herself quickly before the water would get cold on her. When she was done, she wrapped herself in her fluffy green towel and rushed to her room, changing into her work clothes. Lincoln walked back to the bathroom to brush her teeth and do something with her hair. Not wanting to straighten her hair again, Lincoln applied a curl custard to her hair. She watched as her hair snapped into tight ringlets, forming a halo of curls around her head. Feeling content with the curl definition, Lincoln wrapped a headband around her head, just to push back her hair from her face. After applying some eyeliner and  lip balm to her lips, Lincoln walked to Parker's room. It only took a few shakes and back rubs to get Parker out of bed. With the left over hot water, Lincoln bathed Parker and dressed him in some warm clothes. Lincoln used a brush with tough bristles to control Parker's hair. He was in need of a hair cut.
"You're going to have to eat your toast on the way to the bus, we're running a little late today." Lincoln told Parker, helping him tie his shoes. Parker yawns as he pulls on his jacket. Lincoln checked his school bag to make sure he had everything in it before grabbing her purse and house keys. "Alright let's go." Lincoln rushed Parker out the house into the cold morning. They rushed to the bus stop, reaching the spot just as the bus was pulling up. Lincoln sighed in relief that they made the bus on time. As always the bus was packed and this time there wasn't a seat for them to sit. Lincoln held Parker close to her as she held onto a bar in the middle of the bus.  She looked around the bus that was filled with all kinds of people. The metro bus was a interesting place. There was always someone causing some sort of scene and acting a fool in front of everyone. Lincoln couldn't wait for the day that she did have enough money to get a car.
"Have fun at school baby," Lincoln told Parking, adjusting his hat on his head. Parker nods, kissing his mom on the cheek before running off into the school. Lincoln smiled and made her way to the dinner for her shift. The diner was not busy at all, which Lincoln liked. What she didn't like was that she had not heard from Niall. However, she didn't get too upset over him not calling her. She knew he was busy with the shows and interviews.
Due to the lack of traffic coming into the dinner, Lincoln was able to leave her shift early. With some free time on her hand, Lincoln was able to get some grocery shopping done. She only spent about $30 on all the food she needed to stock up on. At her apartment she unloaded the food and placed them in their spots. With nothing else to do, Lincoln sat on the couch and read a book. Reading the book was a good distraction for Lincoln, it kept her mind off of all her problems. If she didn't have to think about her problems she was less stress. After finishing one more chapter in the book, Lincoln got ready to go pick up Parker at school. She took the bus to Parker's school and waited for him to be dismissed in the front with all the other parents. She hated standing there with all the judging eyes on her. The school bell rang, dismissing all the students. Parker walked out, his jacket unzipped. Lincoln walked over to him, ruffling his hair.
"Parker, its cold zip up your jacket." Parker handed her his lunch box and zipped up his jacket, then adjusting his bag on his back.
"Mommy we have a field trip to the Bronx zoo coming up. Can I go?" Parker asks his mom during their walk back to the bus stop.
"Let me read the permission slip first and we'll see." Lincoln shoves her hands in her coat pocket to warm her hands up.
"It's free," Parker pipes up, looking up at his mom with his puppy dog eyes.
"I'll think about it Parker." Lincoln laughs softly at his insistence that he go on this trip. Parker huffs in frustration, but clings to his mother's side. He looked around the area, spotting some guy leaning on a building next to them. Parker watched the guy smoke a cigarette, his eyes fixed on the pair. Parker frowns and turns back to face the street, but he also moved so that Lincoln shielded him from the guy.
"How much longer will the bus take?" Parker looks down the block for any sign of the bus. Lincoln also glances down the block then looks down at the time on her phone.
"The bus should be coming in a few minutes." She tells him. The man leaning on the wall, kicks off the wall, throwing the cigarette bud to the ground. He used the heel of his shoe to squish the cigarette on the floor. Parker peaked from around his mom to see the man. His eyes widened when he saw the man begin to make his way towards them. Parker tugged on his mom's hand to get her attention.
"What is it Parker?" Lincoln looks down at Parker. She immediately becomes concerned when she saw how distraught Parker looked. Parker raised his hand to point to the man that was walking towards them only to see the man was no longer there. Lincoln looks to where Parker was pointing too.
"Honey, I don't have the same imagination as you. What is it I'm suppose to be looking at?"
Parker bit his lip, shaking his head. He was positive the man was going to come to them. When they boarded the bus, Parker sat at a window seat, Lincoln occupied the seat next to him. Parker stared out the window at the spot the man was previously standing at. As the bus pulled off, the man walked out of the alley way between the building. He caught Parker's eyes and flashed him a smile. Parker frowned looking away, happy that he was on the bus.
Lincoln watched Parker curiously.
"Mommy did you see the man watching us?"
