When Lincoln and Parker got to the apartment, Parking stomped his way into his room and slammed the door behind him. Lincoln would have laughed if it were not a serious moment. Instead of leaving him to cool off, Lincoln walked over to his room, pushing open the door.

"Parker, it is not okay to slam things because you are mad." Lincoln walked over to her son, who had his face buried into his pillow. Parker turned his back to her, squeezing his pillow to his face even more. "Parker, look at me." Lincoln rested her hand on Parker's back. Parker slowly turned, looking up at his mom; his eyes wide, brimming with tears. Lincoln wipes his eyes, pulling him into a hug. "Aww baby, there is no need to cry." She whispers to him, rocking him gently.

"No daddy wants me as their son," Parker hiccups as he buries his face into Lincoln's chest. Just hearing Parker say that made Lincoln's heart shatter into millions of tiny little pieces.

"Baby that's not true, any guy would be lucky to have you as a son. Your father is lucky to have you as a son. Niall is happy to be apart of your life as well." Lincoln reassures him. Parker sniffles, wiping his nose with the sleeve of his shirt.

"Really?" He looks up at her. Lincoln nods placing a kiss on his forehead.

"Yes, really. You're an incredible little boy. Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you aren't loved because you are loved." Parker nods, hugging his mom tightly. "Now how about we have some ice cream. Would that make you feel better?" Parker brightened up at the notion of getting ice cream. Lincoln giggles standing up with him. She carried Parker into the kitchen setting him down so he could sit at the kitchen table. Parker sat the table grabbing his spider man stuffed toy that was resting on the surface.

"Honey, do you want sprinkles on the ice cream?" Lincoln asks her son as she spoon some of the cold treat into two separate bowls. Parker licks his lips, nodding his head as he played with his toy.

"Lots and lots of sprinkles please!" Lincoln smiles and adds the sprinkles to the ice cream. She places the bowls on the table and sat across from Parker. "Is Niall going to call us?" Parker asks curiously. He really liked Niall and hoped he would come back to see them. Lincoln nods, shoving a spoon full of the ice cream in her mouth. She liked how the coldness from the ice cream soothe her throat. After the two finished the ice cream they moved to the couch to watch a movie. Sitting on the couch, watching the movie made Lincoln realize that the apartment was a little colder than normal. She got up and walked over to the temperature control box. She turned the dial up and then walked over to the radiator to feel of the heat was on. It wasn't.

"This is the last problem I need with winter coming soon," Lincoln says to herself as she grabs her phone calling the landlord.
"Y'ello Cesar speaking." The rough voice of her landlord came on the line. Lincoln rubbed the back of her neck as she walked into the kitchen, leaning on the counter.
"Hi Cesar, this is Lincoln. The heater isn't working in my apartment." Lincoln complained to him. She did pay her heat bill so there was no explanation as to why it wasn't on.

"Ah, yeah the boiler broke this morning. I have someone coming to fix it Thursday."

"Thursday? Cesar that's 3 days from now, what are we suppose to do? The place is cold," Lincoln tried to remain calm, but she was tired of the crappy service her landlord gave her.

"Sorry, I can't do anything about it. Just bundle up in the mean time." With that said Cesar ended the call. Lincoln screeched in frustration. The one thing she's actually been paying on time gets taken from them. Parker sits up on the couch, looking at his mom.
"Is everything okay, mommy?" Lincoln takes a deep breath, claiming herself down.

"Yeah sweetie. Mommy is fine, I'm just starting on dinner." Lincoln opens the fridge and pulls out the pork chops she had defrosting in there. Parker watches him mom for a few seconds before turning his attention back to his movie. Lincoln chewed on the inside of her cheeks while she opened her cupboards, pulling out a can of corn and then getting two potatoes.
As Lincoln was cooking the pork chops her phone started to go off. She lowered the heat under the pan before she walked over to her phone. She smiled when she saw the FaceTime screen come up on her phone with Niall's name sprawled across the screen. Lincoln quickly picked up the phone, angling it at her face. Niall's face immediately came on the screen.

"Hey princess," Niall grins when he was able to see her face again. Lincoln sits at the table, a huge smile still on her face.
"Hey are you in New Jersey?" She asks him. It was already 5:45pm, so he should have been in New Jersey already.
"Yeah we got here and hour ago. How's Parker?" Niall asks walking outside of his hotel room to get away from the loud noises.

"He was upset earlier because he didn't get to say goodbye to you, but he is fine now. Want to talk to him?" Niall nods his head. Lincoln calls Parker over.

"Look who is on the phone." Lincoln shows Parker the screen. He yelps in excitement, grabbing the phone from his mom.
"Niall!" He squeaks into the phone, bringing it to the living room. Lincoln listens in to their conversation while she finished with dinner. Parker stayed on the phone with Niall for ten minutes before he finally gave the phone back to his mom.
"Baby I have to go now, I'll call you when I'm on another break. I love you." He blew her a kiss through the screen. Lincoln smiles waving goodbye to him as she told him she loved him too. Once the call ended she placed her phone on the table and started placing the food out.

"Parker come eat," Parker kicked his blankets off and ran into the kitchen. "No running," Lincoln scolded Parker as he plopped into his chair.

"Sorry," Parker smiles sheepishly as he picked up his fork and began eating. Dinner went by quickly, which gave Lincoln time to also quickly clean up. Since it was cold and the boiler was not working they did not have hot water. Lincoln was going to have to boil some water for them to take a bath. It annoyed her so she decided she would just put Parker to bed without giving him his bath, but she would get up early in the morning to get a warm bath ready for him. Lincoln tucked Parker into his bed with two layers of blankets on him.

"Sleep tight baby boy," she whispers to him, kissing his head. "I love you." When Lincoln was sure Parker was fast asleep, she got up and left his room. Lincoln wasn't much of a drinker, but she felt like drinking a glass of red wine. She grabbed herself a wine glass and poured the only wine she had in the house in the glass. Lincoln brought the drink up to her lips and took a small sip. She grimaced at the bitter taste of the wine. She was never that found of red wine, but she wanted something to relax her. Half way through her glass, her stomach started to turn. Lincoln set the wine glass down, resting her hands on the surface of the counter. She let out a sigh as she dumped the rest of her wine into the sink. She ran her hand through her hair taking it out of the style she had it in. Lincoln finger combed the knots from her as a she made her way to her room. She braided her hair into two large cornrows and placed on her silk bonnet. Lincoln climbed into her bed, pulling her comforter over her form. She stared at the clock on her night table. It read 10:30pm. Lincoln didn't go to sleep until 2am.
