"Jesus Max I can't do it! I just hate her so much." You groaned.
"If you hate her so much, make your move and show this bitch you're the only woman in his life!" You best friend advised.
"But I'm not the only woman in his life. Pete probably doesn't even like me."
"Then make him like you! (Y/N), I want you to be happy and I know when you're with Pete, you're pretty happy." You smiled and hugged Max.
"Thank you, but I doubt Pete even takes the time of day to think about me." You sighed bitterly. Just then the door opened and Pete stood there.
"(Y/N)...hey there. I just came to tell Max the studio is open for him." He coughed awkwardly. Max stood up and smiled at you.
"I'll see you after and we could continue our talk. Don't forget about what I said." He said. You nodded and he left you alone with Pete.
"So...where's Abby?" You asked saying his assistant's name with more malice than intended.
"Getting me coffee. What were you and Max talking about?" Pete replied.
"Just some stuff."
"Hmm. I never knew you two were dating..." You looked up at Pete with confusion in your eyes.
"Dating? Me and Max? God, no!" You exclaimed.
"I mean he is attractive." He shrugged.
"Yeah, but I don't like him that way."
"Who do you like that way?" You sighed and ran your fingers through your hair.
"Great, now you've put me in an uncomfortable situation." You muttered, turning your back to him.
"I just wanna know. It's not like I'll tell anyone." Pete said softly. You took in a shaky breath and turned back to face him.
"It's you. I like you that way." You confessed. Pete smiled a bit and looked down at his shoes.
"You like me?" He asked.
"I mean, I sort of just said that." You joked.
"Oh shut up. I think that's awesome."
"That I like you?"
"Yeah, because I like you too." You smiled as Pete pulled you into a kiss.
"Correction, that was amazing." He panted pulling out of the kiss.
"Well then kiss me again you dork." You giggled.
"Don't mind if I do."
