House's POV
"...okay! So, blood in the vomit; a new symptom. Go!" I mumbled.
"Well, she's been falling a lot. Could just be a minor defect of her falling and hitting her mouth. Swallowing the blood means it either digests or comes back somehow." Foreman suggested.
"No...too boring. Cameron?" I asked.
"Um...it could be a cause of esophageal cancer or pancreatic cancer?" She tried.
"Trying to rule out the cancers; smart, but we'll come back to you. Chase?"
"Case of cirrhosis." He said simply. I smiled and threw the marker at Chase.
"Interrogate the groupie while Cameron and Foreman run the tests for cancer and do am MRI just to be sure." I ordered before leaving the office. I made my way down to Wilson's office.
Pete's POV
"She doesn't drink." I declined.
"Sir, cirrhosis would actually be better than our other diagnosis' for your wife. Are you sure every once and while she doesn't drink a bit too much?" Dr. Chase pleaded. I shook my head.
"Cirrhosis...my sister had that. Trashed her liver." (Y/N) coughed from on her bed. Her skin had drastically paled and her eyes looked more dead.
"Yes, it's hepatitis of the liver. Mrs. Wentz, have you taken any drinks lately?" Dr. Chase asked her in a soft voice.
"Does a small wine glass of champagne count?" She sighed.
"No, it would have to be more than that."
"I can't have cirrhosis. My sister...her veins were enlarged. Mine aren't." Chase sighed and nodded.
"I'll let my boss know and we'll get back to you with the test results we're running. You're also due for an MRI soon." He said before leaving. I looked over at (Y/N) who was twirling her fingers nervously.
"We're gonna get through this." I mumbled kissing the side of her forehead.
"I miss the boys...and their little laughs and smiles." (Y/N) confessed sadly.
"Yeah, I miss 'em too." I sighed.
To be continued...
