"What are you talking about!?" Pete exclaimed.
"Well the queen was the only one who knew how to leave. After she kicked the bucket, the secret died with her. It was always like her to make sure she had control over everyone, even in death." You explained.
"(Y/N), I need your help. I have to leave. Will you help me find a way?" Pete begged. You sighed and took a sip on your tea.
"Why should I? It's very rare to get visitors in Wonderland. Especially those who agree to have tea parties with me." You smirked. Pete groaned and slammed his hands on the table.
"Listen, I've had enough of your damn games! Take me home!" He yelled. You glared at him and carefully set down your tea.
"No you listen, boy, they don't just call me the Mad Hatter because I'm insane. I am very, very, hot tempered. It would be smart not to cross me. After that outburst, there's not a chance in any land that you'd get my help." You spat. Pete actually flinched at the rage in your eyes and voice.
"I'm sorry. I just...I don't belong here." He said softly.
"Well, you'll have to come back tomorrow. I have work to do if I'm getting you home." You explained.
"Work? What are you talking about?"
"The queen is dead. How else are you getting back?" Pete nodded and watched as you drank the last of your tea and walked into a cottage behind the trees.
"Wait, where do I go?" He asked. You looked up and shrugged.
"That tree looks very comfortable, no?" You suggested before closing the door of your cottage. Pete gaped his mouth open, but settled his back against the hard trunk of the tree.
"The Mad Hatter sure is a bitch." He muttered.
"My hearing is insane too!" You called back making Pete flinch.
"Sorry!" He apologized before closing his eyes.
