You sat on the couch rubbing the forming bruise on your arm.
I mean, you are human.
You get hurt and sometimes there are marks and scars to show for that.
And it's all because you are human.
Humans have a lifespan ranging from 60-80 years. Some get to live above and beyond that age expectancy and others aren't that lucky. As of this moment in time, you're a lucky one. Who knows about any other time after now?
Humans live, humans die. In fact, almost everything dies.
Just like your Joe. Taken from you in an instant just because he was more fortunate in this life than other. They sparred you, for whatever cruel reason, but left you with a temporary memory.
A bruise.
A bruise to remind you that we are all human, and we are not immortal.
