MY phone rang while I was in a middle of meeting. I excused myself from the group and went out of the board room.
Ayyyiiieee, si Quen pala.
"Hello, shu?"
"Kay," his voice was hoarse. "Sorry, nasa office ka pa ba?"
"Yeah, meeting and mejo OT, kasi yung birthday leave ko the other day. Why?"
"Ah.. I think I'm sick. Andito ako sa bahay."
Kaya pala kakaiba yung boses nya.
"Huh? Diba you have rehearsal today?"
"Finished it early. Ang sama talaga ng pakiramdam ko."
"Okay. Wait for me. Will go there after work." Syempre, time to perform my girlfriend duties!
"Okay, thanks."
"Bye." I was about to click "end call" when...
"Love you." Pahabol nya pa.
I smiled. Hindi pa rin ako sanay, but the feeling whenever I heard him say it was really good. I can get used to it. In short, kilig much! At bago pa ko malunod at isipin nya na nagdadalawang-isip akong sumagot..

"SHU, I'm here na." I went straight to his condo from office, dumaan lang ako saglit sa convenience store para bumili ng soup, bread, medicine at iba pang madaling iluto at kainin.
He appeared at the kitchen door, wearing plain white shirt, gray pajamas and holding a glass of water. "Hey."
Shucks. Mukha nga syang may sakit..
Ibinaba ko muna yung mga dala ko and nilapitan sya. "Nagdinner ka na?"
"Yeah, nagpadeliver lang."
"Uminom ka ng gamot?"
He just nodded.
Eeehh yung ang cute-cute ng boyfriend ko pag may sakit? Parang bata. Walang bahid ng pagsusungit. Haha. Sana laging may sakit. JOOOKE!
Nilapag nya sa table yung baso tapos ni-hug nya ko. "Dito ka muna."
"Syempre naman. May dala din akong food and meds for you." I tapped his back. Mejo mainit nga talaga sya.
"Thank you."
"Tara na, sleep ka na, tapos aayusin ko na yung mga dala ko." Hinila ko na sya papunta sa room nya.
Nahiga na din sya then nilagyan ko ng blanket.
"Dito ka lang. Hindi pa ko inaantok." Request ng lolo nyo.
"Sige."
Nahiga muna ko sa tabi nya. He rested my head on his arm, and I hugged him. He looked at me.
"Sorry, baka mahawa ka sa fever ko.. Pero gusto ko dito ka lang."
"I don't mind. It's okay." Inilipat ko pa yung head ko sa balikat nya para hindi nya isipin na takot akong mahawa sa kanya. Okay nga yon eh, para magkasama kami whole day.
