"QUEN, next week na yung start ng daily rehearsals mo. Tapos, every week, may show ka sa major malls dito sa Manila. Meron ka ding 3 naka line-up na provincial shows." Nasa Star Records office kami ni ate Dhan and yan ang pinag uusapan namin.
"Magiging busy ka talaga, kaya please, kailangan mong mag focus ha. Dapat magawa natin lahat 'to ng maayos. Para 'to sa concert mo." She had been constantly reminding me about that.
"Yes ate, I understand."
"Kamusta na ba si Kath sa Singapore?" Mejo nagulat lang ako that she brought that up.
"Naka 1 week na sya don kahapon. She's also in training on weekdays." And upon remembering Kath, i was reminded of my plan. Kailangan ko na nga palang sabihin yun kay sa handler ko.
"Nakakapag-usap pa ba kayo? Constant communication?"
"Skype every night. Tapos BBM, call din."
She looked intently at me. "Okay ka pa?"
I found a timing to say what i wanted to say. "Ate, actually, gusto ko sanang magpaalam."
"Pupuntahan mo sya?"
"Sabi mo next week pa naman yung bulk ng work ko diba? Baka pwedeng kahit 2 days this week, umalis ako."
She kept quiet for a while. "Eh pano yung ASAP mo this Sunday?"
"Monday pa lang naman ngayon. Kung makakaalis ako this Wednesday, babalik din ako ng Friday night." I justified. Any chance that i could get, i would grab just to see Kath again. "Please?"
"Gusto mo talaga yan?"
I nodded. "Sige na, please. After nito, hindi na talaga. Gusto ko lang ma-check kung okay sya dun. And para masabi ko na din ng personal na magiging busy tayo in the coming weeks."
"Hindi ka na mapipigilan?"
"Pwede ba? Please?" Dinaan ko na lang sya sa nakakaawang facial expression. Baka sakaling madala.
She sighed. "O sige na, basta ayusin muna natin yang schedule mo. Friday ka babalik ha? Mag-rehearse ka ng Saturday."
"Yes! Yes! Thank you, ate. Thank you talaga." Nayakap ko pa si ate Dhan sa sobrang saya.

I WAS WAITING at the coffee shop in the building where Kath was having her training. Ginawa ko talagang eksakto yung dating ko sa Singapore sa time ng tapos ng Wednesday sessions nya. I just dropped my things at the hotel then went straight to surprise her.
Yes, i wanted to surprise her. Hindi ko sinabi sa kanya na pupuntahan ko sya dito. I did not even give her an idea that i was planning anything kahit nung hindi pa ko nagpapaalam kay ate Dhan.
After around half an hour of waiting, nag beep na yung phone ko. BBM from her.
Kay: Hi Shu. I'm done for the day!
I replied.
Me: Are you on your way to the hotel? Ingat
That was a subtle way of asking where she was already. She replied not long after.
Kay: Palabas pa lang kami. May mga kasama naman ako :)
Before i could even ask who she was with, i saw her walking out of the building... with the guy i never wanted to see her with. They were with another pair, a girl and a guy.
