I stared at my hands upon being channeled. A black fingerless glove on the left hand indicated only one person: Chrysalis. Gray cardigan sleeves were only more proof of this.

I met eyes with Lily and Niamh in front of me. "Sup?" I asked. Lily blinked twice at this and Niamh just stared. I eventually laughed. "I kid. I already know Lily's boyfriend is up."

"S-Sky isn't up! That's just his name!" Lily retorted.

"I know," I smiled. "Anyways, now that the bad puns I get from Chrysalis are out of the way, why did you want to channel me? Is there something bad happening? Is this the apocalypse?!" I looked at the agency in a panic while Niamh and Lily just watched. Once my funny act was branded 'humorless', I sighed. "Fine. Be that way. I'll just share my puns and generally cruddy humor with other people."

"We didn't have Chrysalis channel you so you could do a comedy act," Niamh told me sternly. "We want to know about any connections between your family and a Williams family?"

"Williams... I think there's a connection... That name is certainly familiar," I replied.

"Where do you recognize it from?" Lily asked me. "We're trying to prove a motive for a witness."

"I know. I was watching. I can see everything," I smirked."

"But-" Niamh began.

"E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G." I carefully pronounced the letters before giggling. I missed having fun like this.

"That's physically impossible," Niamh retorted.

"And I don't have a physical form anymore, so it doesn't have to be physically possible," I reminded her.

"Can we just get back to proving a motive for the witness?" Lily cut in.

"I agree," Niamh said. "Do you have any ideas for a motive?"

"Let's think... I think I remember my mom telling me a story like that when I was little..." I answered. "Involving my dad and a family with that name."

"Please tell us. Any information, even a child's story, could be useful information to our case," Niamh nodded.

"Okay. I don't remember it all that well since it was so long ago, but I can try and tell you what I know." I took a deep breath before beginning. "Before I was born, about twenty years ago, my dad worked on a case where a Matthew Williams was the defendant. Our dad got him arrested so Williams was the defendant in a mass murder case. Five or so people were killed during the case, I think."

"Tons of people get falsely arrested. I don't see why this would be a motive for murder," Lily frowned. "As long as the truth is found, so what?"

"This guy ended up with a guilty verdict due to evidence my dad found. Williams broke down and confessed before getting taken away. He ended up getting the death penalty, but sadly enough, his wife was pregnant," I sighed. "They ended up with a kid who never knew their father because of the execution being so soon after the trial."

"I get that. Killing five people isn't something that can just be let slide," Niamh agreed.

"If that kid was Ms. Williams, that would be a motive for attempted murder," Lily continued. "But why attack you guys and not your father himself?"

"Nobody's seen him in fifteen years," I answered after brief hesitation. I was frowning at this point. My father had never been a nice subject for me, especially when he hadn't been seen since Yuri was only one year old... "The last time I saw him... We were at our house... And some woman came in and shot at Yuri, who was being held by our mom... Soon after... He disappeared, and I haven't seen him since."

"That's so sad..." Lily whispered, rubbing her eyes. "But I still don't understand why Yuri and her mom would be attacked..."

"Maybe... Ms. Williams wanted to lure the one who got her father a death penalty out of hiding by attacking his only living family members," Niamh suggested. "Yuri and Ms. Rinko would be the only people left to attack with you and Cassidy having met an..." Niamh paused, choosing her next words carefully. I guess she thought I would be all sensitive on the subject of my death, though I'm used to it. "...Unfortunate fate."

I shrugged. "You can go ahead and say I'm dead. I'm used to it by now and it doesn't bother me anymore. Plus, I get to go all 'Super Duper High School Level Stalker' on everybody. It may sound weird, but it's actually pretty cool to be able to watch all the movements of people from the afterlife," I smiled.

"That sounds..." Lily didn't even know what to say. I suppose my epicness shocked her into silence. It's happened before (she says even though it never has and most likely never will).

"Unique," Niamh finally finished, selecting what she was going to say so I wouldn't get insulted. Eh. I don't get insulted by much.

"Anyways, we should probably get ready for the trial by going to see Yuri one more time," Lily suggested.

"Can I come, too?!" I exclaimed. "I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to see her!"

"I suppose that would be okay," Niamh shrugged. "Let's get going."

//December 1, 2029. Detention Center, 3:30 PM//

"Yuri!" I exclaimed as soon as I walked into the detention center. My sister was sitting across the glass, staring out the window boredly.

Upon noticing the presence of Lily, Niamh, and I, she looked up with a gasp. "Hey!" Yuri's happiness was obviously faked. Who can be happy while locked away like a criminal?

"We found out who attacked you and have a motive, too," Lily told her. "We're going to get you out of this dump tomorrow."

"Thank goodness! This place is almost as bad as school!" Yuri said. "But I'd still rather be bored half to death than in algebra."

"On a subject more related to the case, allow us to explain the plan for tomorrow..." Niamh began before going off on her rather lengthy explanation on how Yuri was going to get out and be replaced with the real attacker.
