I wasn't out for long. I could still feel the sensations around me, someone was holding me, yelling my name. Skylar probably. My eyes struggled against the blinding light each time I tried to open them. The dizzying feeing was overwhelming. Nausea was hitting me as well. What was happening to me? Not to mention what had happened to Ashley? I finally forced my eyes open and peered into Skylar's worried ones.

"I'm fine..." I murmured, though I had definitely felt better. "Are you sure?" He didn't seem convinced, probably wasn't either. My voice was definitely sounding weak and I was sure my face spoke volumes about how I was feeling. "Yeah, I didn't get a good sleep and have been feeling under the weather. Hearing about Ashley being hospitalized... Guess my body just had enough." I tried to explain as I got back up on my feet to show them that I was fine. My legs were a bit wobbly, but it was nothing I couldn't handle.

"Claire, don't push yourself." Ava wiped the remaining tears from her eyes before she put a hand on my shoulder and looked genuinely worried for me. "I won't." I tried to give her my best smile but it felt more like a grimace. "Mom, is there a possibility to visit Ashley?" Skylar asked after making sure I was really fine. Ava just shook her head. "Not yet. They want to figure out what's wrong first." Skylar let out a frustrated sigh. "Honey, I know you're worried and so am I. But she'll be fine. It's Ashley, she's a strong girl." Ava smiled kindly and gave her son a hug.

"Yeah..." He didn't seem convinced and clutched his cellphone tightly in his grip. "Have faith, Skylar. You can probably visit her tomorrow" Ava continued, looking more like her normal self now. "Why don't you follow Claire safely home and I'll call Bella in the meantime to get an update on Ashley." We both only nodded. Home sounded like a good option. Too much had happened too quickly. I could use some sleep, maybe try and reach Bethany to see if she knew anything about Ashton, Sasha or Trevor.

"See you at school tomorrow?" Skylar asked as we came to a stop outside where I lived. "Yeah, I'll just sleep this dizziness off me." He rolled his eyes before pulling me into a hug. "I know you, just don't over do it. Don't come to school if you still feel like crap." I smiled. "I won't." He gave me another quick hug before jogging home again. Probably anxious to hear about Ashley. "Text me if anything new happens?" I yelled after him. He only turned around and gave a thumbs up.

I turned around and walked inside. The first thing that met me was the delicious smell of dinner and loud voices coming from the kitchen area. That could only mean one thing. My brothers were visiting. I had three siblings. Two older brothers and an older sister. My sister, Hannah were the oldest. She was 25, married with a baby on the way and lived in New Jersey. Joey and James were identical twins and 23 years old. Both were going to college but occasionally liked to come home and visit. Then there was me, the youngest one.

"Hey, Joey, James. Delivery pizza tonight? Or have you actually managed to make something edible?" I greeted as I saw them standing by the oven, arguing on how much spice they were going to use. They only turned and gave me a quick glare before turning back to their cooking. "We wanted to surprise mom and dad. We haven't been home for months." It was a nice gesture if it wasn't for the fact that they were terrible at cooking. I remember them once setting the microwave on fire while trying to melt some chocolate.

"I'll be in my room. Try not to make too much noise. I need some sleep before my head explodes." A couple of 'yeah yeah.' was the answer I got before a loud crash resonated through the house as one of them probably dropped a frying pan or something like that. I shook my head and smiled. It was always so lively when they were home.

A yawn escaped my lips as I entered my room and shut the door behind me. My bed looked so inviting and I couldn't wait to envelope myself in my blankets. I shook off my fleece jacket and pulled out my ponytail and dived into bed. It felt heavenly. I was asleep by the time my head hit the pillow.
