'Mom! Dad! We're here!' Yvonne exclaimed as soon as we entered the house. It was dark, not to mention eerily quiet and it soon became clear to both of us that there weren't anyone here.

'That's odd.' She murmured. 'It said in the text to meet them here to go over everything.' We walked further into the house and into the living room. I heard Yvonne dial, probably Yasuo, on her phone. It rang for a straight minute without anyone picking up.  She hung up and dialed another number. This time we heard the phone ring. It came from upstairs. We looked at each other before practically sprinting up the stairs.

Yvonne's hand hesitated on the doorknob to her parents bedroom. 'I don't like this.' I put my hand reassuringly on her shoulders. 'Maybe they got caught up in another lead?'   Yvonne took a deep breath before finally turning the doorknob.

The sight that met us made us both gasp. The whole room had been thrashed. Furnitures were broken, the full body mirror was cracked and the window to the bedroom was smashed. That wasn't the worst of it. No, the worst of it was all the blood spatter. On the walls, the floor and even on the roof.

'What...happened here?' I murmured as my hand carefully reached out towards the wall. Yvonne picked up a piece of paper that was on the floor and almost instantly growled in anger.

'Malik happened.' She flung the bloodied paper to me and I clumsily caught it. The vampire grace had still not come quite to me.

"Too late. It's my victory."

Yvonne growled as she paced the room. 'That bastard managed to get his filthy hands on my parents.' It was difficult to imagine how Malik could have gotten the upper hand on Yasuo and Alicia, especially now after he had been weakened.

Yvonne pulled out her own phone and quickly dialed a number. 'Jean. Malik escaped and he has my parents. I need your help again.' I'd never heard her so panicked before and it seemed like Jean sensed it to.

'Calm down. Tell me what happened.' Yvonne pinched the bridge of her nose and took a deep breath before explaining the sight we had stumbled upon here. Jean listened to it without saying a thing. '-and there's absolutely no trace of him. I have no idea where to even begin looking for him.' Yvonne finished.

'Well, good thing you called me for help. Because I believe I can help.'

'How?'

'I might be on friendlier terms with some vampires but that doesn't mean I completely trust them, no offense.' Yvonne rolled her eyes. 'None taken.' Jean chuckled on the other end.

'I kept a few of my best hunters around to watch the house Malik was being kept in, as a safeguard and I just got a message from them. He's in an abandoned house an hour from here. My best guess is that he's keeping your parents there.'

'Send me the address and meet me there.'

'Will do and I'm bringing some more back-up. Just in case we're gonna need it.' Yvonne ended the call and looked at me.

'I'm coming with you.' I said determined. Her look had said it all. She didn't want me to come with. 'This isn't your fight.' She tried and I gave her a flat look.

'It became my fight when he turned me. I'm going.' I crossed my arms with determination. Yvonne gave me a small smile. 'I really can't persuade you away from this?' I shook my head.
