WRAPPED WITH LOVE

Chapter 12

Karthik informed arvind everything about what had happened and arvind insisted abhi to get rid of tej.
He was shouting at her literally. But then , karthik interrupted him.

Karthik: arey yar Arvind, she needs some rest. Let her rest first.

Arvind: ya but i will talk to you about this later abhi, said arvind pointing his finger at Abhi.

It was almost night time and karthik started preparing dinner for everyone.He loves cooking!! Abhi didnt come out of her room. They thought that she would be sleeping. Arvind was very hungry and so he ate his dinner quickly . Karthik said that he will dine later. He wanted to check on abhi.
After arvind had gone to sleep, karthik opened the door of abhis room. She was sleeping. He went closer and noticed that her hand was bleeding. When he was cleaning it with a cotton ,she woke up sensing the agony.
Abhi: karthik! What are you doing?

karthik: i was just cleaning the wound. Chup chap bhaito. Dont shout. Your brother will wake up.

Abhi: but karthik, you dont need to do this . I can take care.

Karthik: oh really!!

he continued to clean the wound and then applied an ointment. Abhi closed her eyes and tightened her grip on the bedsheet.

Karthik notices....

Karthik: does it hurt?

abhi: a lot karthik! I dont want this ointment. Please take it off.

Karthik took her hand very closer and blew some air continually. Abhi felt something strange. She could sense the cool air on her wound. He did this for about 5 min and wrapped his kerchief around the wound.
He asked her if she wanted to eat.

Abhi:ya, i am very hungry.

saying this, abhi went and sat on the dining table. Karthik laughed on realising how hungry she is.

Karthik put some food in a plate and placed it infront of her. He too sat beside her with his plate of food. Abhi started eating.

karthik: how is the food??

abhi: wow, it tastes very good. Who made this??

karthik: whoelse can make such delicious recipies? Its me ofcourse! By the way, do you know how to cook?

Abhi dont want karthik to know that she doesnt know how to cook. So she started fake hiccups. Karthik didnt know about her shananigans and handed her a glass of water. She drank some and finished her dinner without uttering a single word.
. Karthik was surprised to see her eating so fast.

Karthik:: Abhi i know that my recipies are so tasty that people can't really wait to eat! But, eat slowly...
Said Karthik winking.

Abhi: woh, i am feeling drowsy. So. . . .
Saying this she got up,washed her hands and went to her room.she forgot her mobile on the dining table.
Karthik was surprised by her actions and was eating alone.

Abhi's phone vibrates. Karthik hesitatingly checks it.

It was tej. He pinged her saying"hey abhi,i am so sorry for what had happened today. I always wanted to save you. I want to talk to you. I need to tell you something important .Can we meet tomorrow??"

meanwhile abhi realised that she forgot her mobile and she headed to the dining hall. She was shocked to see karthik checking  her mobile.

Abhi shouted: karthik.,what do you think you are doing?

karthik didnt expect this kinda situation. He was dumb one side. He was fuming with anger on the other.

Abhi dragged her mobile from his hand and went away leaving him speechless. She shut the door with all force. She wanted to know what he was starring at. She read the whole message . She felt that something is going fishy.

Abhi thought: omg! What is tej upto? And why did karthik see this bloody message? What would he think?
I have to wind this up. I will meet tej and tell him that i am in love with someother person .
she slept after giving it a long thought. She woke up early in the morning and informed tej that she'll meet him at barista at 9 a.m.

Arvind goes out for jogging and karthik does push-ups. He sees abhi getting ready.He goes into her room .

karthik : Abhi,i am sorry for what all happened yesterday. I swear..it was nothing negative and not to hurt you mainly. I am so sorry abhi.

Abhi felt good for his apologies. She wanted him to apologise even more. But she could'nt refrain herself from saying its ok karthik.

Karthik: are you going to meet him,,
by any chance?

Abhi didnt expect such a question from him. Anyways , she says that she is gonna meet him at barista.
Now,karthik's anger knew no bounds.
He dont want abhi to meet him at any cost. He is the only one who knew about tej's evil deeds.

Karthik; abhi, dont take me wrong. But you are not going to meet him.

Abhi: what!? Its not a big deal.

Karthik: please you dont know anything abhi. Dont go .

Abhi: I have something to confess. So i have to go karthik.

Karthik thought: confess?? Does she love him by any chance? No this cant be so. But why is she meeting him after reading such an awkward message? I have to stop her at all costs. I dont know what tej is upto today.

Karthik: abhi ! I said no. You are not going anywhere.

Abhi was amused to see him demanding her.

Abhi: karthik, i am going.

Karthik  gets irritated. He takes her hands into his and gently pushes abhi against the wall. He comes closer to her and looks  into her eyes. Abhi was all shocked but didnt break the eyelock.

karthik whispered in abhi's ears: abhi please dont go. Trust me, you can't be safe if he is around.

Saying this, he left her room. Abhi was engrossed in his thoughts. She felt something strange in Karthik warning her not to meet tej.

Abhi thought:but why is he refraining me from meeting tej? May be its because of that wierd message. But i have to end this up. I have to tell tej that i am committed. So i have to go. But what will karthik think? Its ok..my karthik will understand if i tell him clearly.

She came out of her room. She felt karthik's gaze on her. He was eagerly waiting for her decision. But,without even looking at him,she went away. Karthik was totally embarrassed. He hit the wall firmly with his fist and it started bleeding.He wanted to protect her from tej.
