WRAPPED WITH LOVE

chapter 18

Everyone was eagerly waiting for Priya's response.  Varun still held her hands gently. Looking into Varun's eyes,  Priya bent, took out her hands and carefully placed them on Varun's cheeks. She kissed him on his forehead.

Rahul blew a whistle and nithu glared at him.

Abhi and appu laughed on watching this.

Priya: Varun, i seriously didnt know that you love me.

Rahul: Teri chod, he did not tell me even!

Appu: Rahul! Chup chap bhaito na.

Rahul is a naughty boy. He always keeps the people around him happy. He is handsome too. Many girls in the college fell for him. But he never accepted any. Thats because he loves his childhood friend 'veda'. But even before he expressed his love, veda went abroad to pursue her  higher studies. They speak frequently on Skype . Veda sees him as her Bestie. Rahul wants to propose her when she returns to India. Whenever he loses hope, appu or varun pats his back and encourages him one way or the other so that he regains his hope.

Back to our scene!
Priya: Varun, what if my dad doesn't accept our relation?

Rahul: oh thats so simple. He'll elope you.

Everyone glares at Rahul. Abhi takes her scarf and ties it around Rahul's mouth so that he cannot comment further. This made everyone burst into laughter.

Varun looking into Priya's eyes:

" look priya,i can go to any extreme to keep you happy. I think you have to give up your engg. and start designing course. Whatever the consequences turn out to be, i will face them. Dont worry. And once you get successfull in designing field, i will go talk to your father about your career, about us! Okay?"

Priya smiling: hm.. sounds good.

They starred at eachother when their friends came to them and hugged. Rahul calls for the other students who are around them. He asks them to surround varun and priya in the shape of a circle. 

The students applaud when varun kneels infront of priya and gives her a flower boquet. After a few minutes, the crowd dispers on congratulating them.

Appu: so, this is it! Finally a pair in our gang too.

Rahul sighed nithu to remove the scarf. Nithu untied the knots .

Nithu: guys, close your ears. He is gonna start again.

Rahul acted to cry out like a kid and shouted: everyone in this gang is engaged.. expect you and me Appu. Whatta life?

Appu:Rahul, tu veda ko bhool gaya kya?

Rahul: kadoos ! How can i? But she is not here no. And moreover,my love is one sided .

Nithu: Then you should be counting abhi too.

Abhi: what?

Nithu realised what she just said.
She thought: god damn it! What did i just say? She is not gonna talk to me. She told me not to speak about karthik!. Shit.

Rahul understood something is fishy. Abhi didnt share with anyone what happened during the vacation. But,they all knew that she loves karthik.

Abhi went away angrily and nithu narrated the entire story to her friends .
Varun and Rahul were very shocked listening to Tej's deeds. They wanted to teach him a lesson .

Appu: Nithu, i think you should leave to your room. Its not good to leave abhi alone.

Nithu:okay then. Good night.

It was 9 'O clock ! They had discussions for 5 hours! On realising this , they parted to their rooms. While leaving, varun kissed priya's cheeks which was seen by Rahul and Appu. But they pretended as if they didn't see anything.

Nithu took two burgers on her way to the room . She peeped through the door and saw abhi sitting on her bed staring at her diary. Nithu opened the door . On noticing Nithu, abhi closed the diary, wiped her tears and switched off the lamp. Nithu  switched it on but abhi again put it off. This was done for around 14 times and the lamp burst making a huge sound. This made abhi laugh. Nithu was happy to see her laugh.

Nithu: Abhi so sorry yar. I swear, it wasn't intentional.

(Nithu's phone rang. And abhi noticed that it was harsha calling. Nithu rejected the call. Harsha called back and she ignored.)

Nithu: Abhi please, you didn't even eat anything. Have this burger.

(Nithus phone rings again)

Abhi: nithu answer the phone. Its harsha.

Nithu: I know. But now, pleasing you is more important than answering his call. I am sorry Abhi.

Abhi's angry vanished on seeing nithu's concern for her.

Abhi: Okay baba. . I will have the burger. Actually , i need two of them. I am damn hungry! Now go, answer his call Orelse tera hero college management ko call karega...

Nithu blushs and hands over the burgers to her. she calls harsha back and keeps on talking till late in the night..

Abhi stands by a window. Starring at the full moon ,she eats the burgers.

By the time Nithu returns to room after speaking to harsha, Abhi falls asleep.
