WRAPPED WITH LOVE

chapter 27

19th day:
The flight is to take off at 12 in the midnight. Abhi decided to board at chennai airport itself as it is nearer to her college.

She was busy packing her luggage. She kept all her favourite books , packed her guitar, wrapped carefully her family photo which was printed on a stone  . She stopped and stood for a while when she saw her precious purple box. She keeps all those petty things which seem to be very important for her in it!

She opened the box slowly. In the box, there was a silk chocolate wrapper which was the first chocolate gifted to her by arvind with his first salary,
Her identity cards from 5th standard!, the stars which were awarded to her during schooling and a kerchief!!

(Remember the day when Karthik cleaned and wrapped a kerchief around abhi's wound in Hyderabad??)

Yeah, its the same! She wants to retain it forever..

She was holding the kerchief in her hands  and was starring at it. She could sense  someone standing behind her. She was about to turn back and suddenly 'someone' closed her eyes with their hands.

That someone is Karthik!!

Karthik leaned to Abhi's left and spoke very close to her ears.

Karthik: What are you starring at abhi?

Abhi was  shocked to hear karthik's voice. She could not utter even a single word.

Abhi:kkk k  karthik?? 

Asked abhi,touching his fingers with which he closed her eyes.

He slowly took off his hands and she opened her eyes. She turned and looked into his eyes. They had an eye lock which was interrupted by Arvind's arrival.

Abhi's eyes were wet by now and it just  takes a second more for tears to flow down. It was then karthik threw a lizard (made of rubber) at her all of a sudden . She jumped away screaming all over the room! Arvind, who just entered the room started  laughing.

Nithu, Appu and Rahul were about to enter the room and stopped on watching Abhi jumping and screaming like a chimpanzee!!

Rahul took the lizard on the floor . Holding it he said" Abhi, its fake!"

Abhi was glaring at Karthik. Given a chance, she will even kick him.

Arvind: Abhi dont look at him like that. The idea was mine! But,if i do that, you wont backdown to kill me! So i asked Karthik to.....

Abhi: kya bhayya.. dont you have brain? Khelne ka wakth hai kya?

Karthik: woh Abhi,actually your brother is already missing all the fun you people used to have whenever you meet him. Now that you are leaving abroad, he wants to make sure that nothing has changed and nothing is gonna change between you both. Even if you grow up, you will be his lil sister forever!!

Abhi hugged Arvind hearing to karthik's words.

Rahul: hello Arvind, i am rahul.

Arvind: I know. She is appu and you are nithu (said Arvind pointing at each one of them)

They were surprised.

Arvind: Don't be so surprised guys! How would i not know you? She always keeps talking about you guys on mobile.

So Rahul, whatever you wanna tease her,do it now itself! Else you are going to lose your chance.

Rahul(looking at karthik): i will never lose any single chance of teasing my friends.
(Looking at abhi and smirking)And coming to abhi, i will save some for Skype calls Arvind!!
