WRAPPED WITH LOVE

Chapter 3

Abhi's happiness knew no bounds. She kept jumping all over.
Only nithu knew how happy abhi was.

In the morning:

abhi woke up early in the morning. She wore a white shirt and blue jean which was her all time favourite.!! She put on matching studs and a fossil watch, which was gifted by her father on her last birthday. Nithu woke up and she was amused to see abhi getting ready like a girl!
Thats because abhi never paid attention to all this stuff. But after a while, she understood the reason behind all this. Abhi was about to leave. She heard someone knocking the door and it was priya.
She wanted to buy some accessories for her designing work. So they went out together. The accessories shop was far away from the coffee shop. They went on a friend's scooty. Priya dropped her at the coffee shop.

Priya: abhi call me after finishing your work. I will come and pick you up.

Abhi: teekein. I will. Bye.

At the coffee shop:
Saying this she started walking towards the shop. She was stopped by a beggar, a woman in her 30's carrying a girl child. Abhi felt sorry for her. She kept starring at her.
As there was no reply, the poor lady went away. Abhi came back to her senses and went into the shop. As soon as she entered, arvind came towards her.

Arvind: abhi! It seems like you put on some weight. What do you say?

Abhi felt embarrassed as there were many boys and they started giggling.

Abhi frowned at her brother.

Arvind: how did you come? Come have a seat.

Abhi sat beside arvind.

Abhi: woh i came with my friend on scooty.

Arvind ordered a chocolate moussee and capaccuino for her and all the boys ordered lots of other stuff for them.
Abhi didnt lift up her head. She was completely engrossed in eating when vipul, arvind's friend interrupted her.

Vipul: abhi, we wont take away your food.Eat slowly.

Vipul was the only one among arvind's friends who speak to her frequently. He shall be leaving to Germany  for his further studies. She wanted to give a Counter to vipul and lifted her head. She noticed karthik sitting beside vipul. He wore white shirt and diesel jeans. She was very impressed at his dressing sense. Yet, there was something else that attracted her towards karthik.She kept starring into his eyes. They had a eye-lock and abhi could see his lips widened enough for a good smile.

Arvind always speaks about karthik. He is his best friend afterall. The way he describes karthik and his every deed attracts Abhi. And she is eagerly  looking forward for a day to meeting him. . .

Vipul: kaha kho gaye ho madam? how are your studies going on?

abhi: ha i am doing well.

Vipul: waise guys listen! She is the topper of her college. We are having coffee with a topper. What a privilege?

abhi: "stop it vipul. Enough yar"
Said abhi glaring at vipul.

They had a long chitchat and abhi kept glancing at karthik every now and then. Lots of food was left behind. Arvind paid the bill and was going out. He heard abhi talking to the waiter and stopped.

Abhi: excuse me, could you please pack the left over food in a cover?

waiter: (surprised)
sorry mam. But i cant touch that food. The scavangers will throw away all the remainings. Even they dont eat it. So. . . .

Abhi: no problem . Can you atleast provide me a packing cover?

waiter: sure mam.

Abhi took the food and placed it neatly in the cover with her hands.
only arvind knew why his sister is packing the remaining food.
She took the cover and thanked the waiter. She came out and looked at the beggar sitting on the pavement. She handed the cover to her. The poor lady thanked her and blessed her to enjoy a long life. Arvind was watching this from a distance. He felt proud to have her as his sister. Abhi called priya and she came there within 5 minutes.

Arvind: bye abhi. Take care.

Abhi: bye bhayya. All the best!

And then she looked at karthik. She wanted to talk to him. But how? She kept thinking of a chance to talk with him. Her thoughts were interrupted by vipul.

Vipul: "abhi, you should not have touched the left-over food just to give it to a beggar"said vipul pointing to the poor lady.

abhi: vipul, thats my responsibility.

Vipul: what do you mean? You helped her because you are left with excess food today. But what if she asks you for some food tomorrow?

abhi: well, i can give her my food.

Vipul realised that he cant change her thoughts. He wants her to enjoy her life. But abhi spends most of the time in doing some sort of social services.

Arvind: why are you both arguing? Vipul we have to leave. Our buddies are waiting.

abhi: i am not arguing with him bhayya. Just answering him back.

Vipul: kk woh sab chod and enjoy your life to its max!

abhi: vipul, you keep saying this everytime. Anyways take good care of my brother. Bye.

Arvind and his friends left in a cab and abhi returned to her room with priya.
