WRAPPED WITH LOVE

Varun, Priya , Appu ,Abhi and Karthik forms a circle. Rahul jumps to the centre of the circle and sits.

Abhi: Rahul !! Go and sit beside Karthik...

Rahul: No. It's good here. I can see all my friends.

Appu: which is why we formed a circle idiot! So that every person can see every other person.

Rahul: Appu yar seriously! When did you become this intelligent? What do you eat?

Appu pats her head.

Rahul: Oh why? My brain ofcourse! Thats why you've become so sharp and I've become blunt.

Priya: Rahul!!

Varun: I miss our college days. Those were the most beautiful days of my life. And Rahul, I missed you the most idiot. You and your silly jokes which had the power of making everyone burst into laughter.

Rahul: Don't bluff. Why would you think of anyone when Priya is around? Having your life partner with you all the time can actually heal all your problems... I just wish .... I wish(in a lower tone looking down).

Karthik over hears their conversation standing by the lamp post. As Nithu walks towards the backyard, he looks at her and gives a sigh of relief.

Karthik: Nithu thank God you are here. I told you about Rahul's agony right! He is feeling low. The entire batch started glooming. Please do something to cheer them up.

Nithu: Don't worry bro. I will take care!

She goes into the backyard. She walks slowly sighing her friends to be silent. She slowly goes behind Abhi and closes her eyes.

Abhi: Goschh... Who is this??

Nithu: Guess darling.

Abhi: Nithu!!

She hugs her with tears rolling down her eyes.

Varun: Didn't Harsha come?

Nithu: He'll come tomorrow. He's at his grandparents. We all look so different from what we used to be a few years back. I missed you all so much. What's happening with your lives? Everyone got so busy with their own world that we hardly talk now.

Arvind: Right Nithu. I want all of you to promise that we'll meet like this once a year no matter where we are and what we do. This should be a get together where in we discuss everything happened for a year. Share, laugh, cry and love eachother.

Everyone agrees and so they meet as decided every year there after.

Those things which can neither be shared with family nor a partner will only be shared with friends. The relationship between friends might go for a toss due to some unwelcoming circumstances in lives. But, at the end of the day, a true friend will understand the intentions and get back. To be loved is a blessing. Love has a lot to do with adjustments, possessiveness and compromises but not sacrifices. You might stop loving yourself if you keep sacrificing things for the person you love. Also, you don't need to search for love. When it comes to you, you'll know. Live, Love, Laugh. Period.
