WRAPPED WITH LOVE

chapter 30

Party :

Abhi wore a red coloured long frock . She put on a  little foundation and pink shade on her cheeks. She was like a mannequin in brand red coloured frock! She went to the party with one of her close friends named cha san.  Cha san is a Korean citizen. She studies psychiatric course in the UK University.
They had many common things in them. Above all, Abhi loved cha sang's character. Like Abhi, cha sang too didn't make many friends in college. Citizens there show a kind of racism and these girls didn't want to get into problems in a foreign land. So, both the girls are always together helping each other every now and then. Abhi's dress was gifted by Cha san.

As soon as Cha san heard  that college is gonna host a party for Abhi's success, she wanted her to look pretty and so she shopped bunking her class work!

That was the extent of their friendship.
Abhi along with Cha san, went to the party. As soon as Abhi entered the party hall, the chief professor came forward and hosted the party. He announced infront of the audience the reason for throwing a party. Everyone applauded for Abhi's success. But , there are a few students who were really jealous of her achievements. They wanted to put her down.

Abhi thanked the crowd and said that she was fortunate to have studied in the UK University with generous professors around.

After a while, everyone got busy with their drinks and dances. Abhi and Cha san found a table comfortable enough and settled down. They ordered a fruit punch.
(They never prefer hot drinks!)
Those students ,who envied Abhi took this as a good opportunity and mocked the drinks.

So, Abhi got to drink two shots at first and the count increased to 10! Cha san did the same. They lost control on themselves. Abhi kept shouting at the barer to bring more when those guys took her away and made her sit forcefully in their car. They stopped the car at a garage and dragged her out. Some part of her frock was torn because of this. They tied her hands and tried to harass her when a man came all of a sudden from nowhere and stopped them from doing so.

Abhi tried to untie the knots on her hands. One of those guys slapped her hardly . She was about to fall down when the man who was saving her caught her carefully. She fell in his hands. They had an eyelock. Abhi still did not get to her senses. She was surprised.
She said:"Oh! Karthik! You are my hero now and forever. I love you"

Saying this,she was about to kiss him .  But then, a student from their gang cut that person's hand with a knife and he started bleeding. Retaining the pain, he held Abhi to his chest and kicked that person. They ran away.

It's karthik!!

Karthik took Abhi to her house. His friend virat was waiting inside with Cha san. Virat made her rest on a couch. When they were walking inside the house, abhi asked"lift me darling. I cant walk."

Karthik carried her in his hands and she put her hands around his neck. He observed that most of her dress was torn. He was furious but could not do anything now as he could not risk leaving Abhi alone . He placed her carefully on the bed. Abhi fell asleep holding karthik's collar . He slowly removed her hands . He put his hands on her cheeks and said: "Whatever happens, i will always be there to protect you. I love you abhi"

He kissed her forehead and adjusted the  blanket . He switched off the lights and was moving away when Abhi spoke unconsciously:" Don't leave me. Never! Please"

Hearing this,Karthik sat on a bean bag starring at her. He did not sleep all the night. He kept starring at her. And without even knowing, the sun rised and virat knocked the door of Abhi's room.
There wasn't any reply. He knocked again. This time, Karthik came to his senses and opened the door.

"Hello sir! Have been crying all the night? Look at your eyes! They are swollen"said virat smirking.

Karthik: stop it virat. Its just that i could not sleep after seeing her go through all this. Its all because of me.

Virat: no karthik. Its because of you she is safe now. Your love for her is so pure that it won't let your girl face the odds. And abhi is very lucky to have you. I can say this for sure.

Karthik: No. Its me who is lucky. Abhi is so precious for me. Even if i search this whole world with a microscope, i cant really find a girl better then her. Or, atleast as good as her!

Virat: Haha thats fine. But for me,my friend is always the best.  I think you should speak to Arvind about this.

Karthik: No. He can't take it if he knows that his sister went through such situation. Anyways, now that I am here, I will take care.

Virat: Good. Is she okay now?

Karthik: yeah. She is fine. But i am not gonna leave those *** guys. I will show them the meaning of hell.

Virat: cool down karthik. This is not our country. Its not good to take such decisions.

Karthik was about to reply when Cha san approached them. She partly remembered what had happened last night. She didn't know anything about those guys threatening abhi.

Cha san(shouting): who are you guys? What's your name? How come you enter my house? Have you been here all the night?

Karthik: choose one option.
1. Do you want me to answer all your questions at once?

2. shall i go one after the other ?

Cha san:just answer all of them.

Karthik: karthik and virat. Pub closed and door opened. Took care whole night.

Virat starts laughing.

Cha san(frustrated): what?

Virat said to her" look, Karthik is a close friend of Abhi. And,i am Virat,his close friend.We saw you both yesterday in a pub. You were drunk. So we took you home and stayed here all night just to guard you."

Cha san: but, how come Abhi never mention about karthik if he is that close? And, are we really drunk? I mean, we ordered a fruit punch as far as i remember.

Virat: well,someone has mocked the drinks.

Karthik: virat!!  kya yar?

Cha san(shockingly) : Mocked the drinks? oh my god!  Those guys might have done this.

karthik: who ?

Cha san tells about those fellow students who envied Abhi.
