WRAPPED WITH LOVE

Chapter 13

At Barista:

Abhi reaches Barista at 30 minutes  past 9 . She searches for tej. But he is nowhere to be seen. she decides to wait just to put an end all the misunderstandings.
She orders a coffee for her. She is very fond of coffee. She tried almost all flavours and brands! She closed her eyes and sipped the coffee making a sound . All the other customers kept starring at her and a few giggled.She is enjoying her coffee forgetting the entire world. She felt someones' intense gaze on her. She suspected that it would be karthik. She opened her eyes and turned around to see who it was. She didnt find anyone!!!

She thought: Was i so rude to Karthik? I did not even look at him while coming here. I did not inform him where i am leaving to. He is the one who saved me at the parlour. But, i disagreed him. I hope he will understand. Abhi you came here though he warned you  not to go. What if he gets nuts? What if he doesn't talk to you? What might karthik be thinking of you? He cared for you a lot. In return, you disobeyed his word.

Thinking about all this stuff,she finished her coffee and looked at her  phone . she was shocked to see 30 missed calls from tej.

Abhi to herself: omg! 30 missed calls! Why did i keep the phone in silent mode? And why didnt he come till now? its 11'O clock!

She called tej.

Tej: hello abhi, why didnt you answer my calls? Are you still at barista?

abhi: where else will i be? I asked you to come by 9,whats taking you so long?

Tej: abhi i am sorry but i cant come there. My car gave a trouble. We will meet at alpha inn. My friend will come to pick you up.

Abhi: why alpha inn? I mean its such a luxurious place. Its for epicureans. Why should we meet there? We can meet somewhere else.

Tej: no abhi. Cant i afford even that for you? My friends name is nihal. He will recognise you.

Abhi: how?

Tej: because,i always keep telling about you to my friends. Bye. See you there.

Abhi: bye.

Abhi thought: why the hell did he tell his friends about me?what does he think of himself? I should tell him that i am in love asap. May be karthik is right. I should not have come here. I should have telephoned him to tell the truth.

A person came near her when she was texting to nithu to inform what has happened in the morning!!

Nihal stands infront of her.

Abhi: are you?

Nihal: yes abhinaya. I am Nihal . Hi!

abhi: hi!

Nihal: so, chale?

abhi: ya ek min. I will pay the bill and come.

Nihal: tej will kill me if you paid the bill. Let me pay it for you.
Saying this he paid the bill at the counter. Abhi felt awkward. They reached the parking area .Nihal opened the car door and gestured her to sit. Abhi sat in the car and was silent.

Nihal: abhi, say something. I heard that you are talkative. But what makes you sit so silent?

Abhi: woh, kuch nahi. Actually i have a headache. Thats why.

Nihal: ohh is it? Had tej been here,he would have kicked that headache so that it wont attack you in lifetime.

Abhi: This is too much Nihal. Please stop it.

Nihal: I am not kidding abhinaya. He loves you that much.Did you remember those thugs who teased you at the theatre? Those guys bet tej that night. He was admitted in hospital for a week. And those guys at ice cream parlour here? After you left,he ran to catch them in traffic. He risked his life only because they hurted you. So please,:....accept him.

Abhi didnt know about tej's tricks and was moved a bit. She didnt expect him to be so sincere to her.

They approached alpha inn and tej opened the car door. He forwarded his hand infront of abhi so that she could hold it and get down. But abhi got down herself. Tej was taken aback.

Tej: thanks Nihal for bringing her safely. Bye.

Nihal: thats my pleasure buddy. Bye abhi.

Tej: so shall we?
asked tej gesturing her to enter the inn. She had not been to such a restaurant before. She kept starring at the building while walking. Tej suddenly dragged her towards him and blindfolded her.

Abhi: what the heck tej?

tej: i said that i have a surprise for you right? Chalo i will show it.

They walked in and entered a room finally. It was a royal suite. He opened the blindfold.
The room was dark. There was a table at the center of the room with the food served for two people. There were candles arranged on the stands beside the table. Its like a candle light arrangement!She was mesmerised with all the arrangements when tej kneeled down infront of her.

Tej: I thought this is the best way to show my love. I always wanted you beside me. I fell for you when i first saw in college. But i did not dare to speak with you. You are one of those special persons everywhere!  Everyone wants a girl like you. But not all can be as fortunate as i am.!. I love you.

Abhi didnt know what to say. She expected a simple proposal but he planned everything special for her. She doesnt have an alternative. She has to be loyal orelse she might lose karthik.

Abhi : par tej, i am already in. . . ,

Tej: shhhhhh. . . .close your eyes. I have a surprise for you.

Abhi: but tej, i want to say that. , .

Tej: abhi please ek baar ankein band karo na.

Abhi : ok.

She closed her eyes and she could feel tej moving close to her. Tej was now just three inches away from her.

Tej: abhi,open your eyes.

Abhi opened her eyes and was shocked to see him close to her.

Tej: abhi i bought this bracelet for you. Hope you like it.
Said tej forwarding the bracelet. Abhi  doesnt want to accept it. She was about to move his hand away when tej suddenly hugged her.
Abhi: tej whats wrong? Let me go.

Tej: no abhi. I love you so much. I cant lose you.

She tries hard to push him away...

He tightened his grip on abhi which started hurting her. She was shouting at him to leave her.

Not being able to do anything, she closes her eyes and shouts "Karthik"'s name in a lower tone.
