WRAPPED WITH LOVE

Chapter 16

They boarded the bus and during the journey abhi told nithu her entire conversation with the woman.

Nithu: do you really believe in all this abhi?

abhi: i dont know. But i really have to do this. I think this is a better way to compete with it.

Nithu: i appreciate that. By the way you are looking really great.

Abhi: tu bhi yar. .meri chod. Look at you! Harsha must have been here. He would have married you asap.

Nithu blushes . They reached the
temple and they were all set to start the pradakshinas. After they had finished doing those, Abhi took a leaf and wrote down everything that she wished to have in her life. It read::
" god,i love karthik. He is the first person whom i fell for and he will be the only one for me. I want him to be happy no matter what. But I also want him to be mine!"

Nithu also took a leaf and wrote that she should marry harsha.

Both of them placed the leaves infront of the god and prayed.
Nithu placed her hand on abhi's shoulder and asked if she is feeling better now.
Abhi: a lot better. What shall we do next?

Nithu: lets go to the top of the temple. It will be a great view i guess. But there are 1500 steps to climb!

Abhi: wow! Superb. . Lets do it .

They started climbing the steps. They kept on talking while climbing. So without their knowledge they could climb 1000 steps. Nithu was talking about their college while abhi kept starring at the people and the scenery. There are very few people around her.
She noticed a woman in her early 40's suffering from giddiness.She had a lot of jewels on her, seems to be affluent. Her flower basket fell down and she started strolling . She held the grip of the wall. But it was so small in length that she fell down the hill.

Abhi climbed the steps swiftly to reach her. Few people gathered there and kept starring down the hill. None of them dared to go down the hill and help her even though they could see her hanging to a tree hoping for a help. Abhi shouted at the crowd to make way for her. They moved away forming an aisle. She leaned towards the wall to have a look at the
woman. The woman held the branch of a tree. Her eyes were filled with tears. She was looking at the crowd with a hope that they would help her. Abhi carefully jumped on a stone beside the wall and then she descended furthur. She stretched her hand so that the lady could get a grip over it and hold it to climb up. After 20 minutes of hard trial,abhi saved her and made her drink some water. The crowd dispersed and the woman recovered to her senses.
Abhi: aunty,are you okay?

woman:yeah beta,i am all right. Thank you so much for saving me. Whats your name? Where are you from?

Abhi: i am abhinaya. I am pursuing engineering in DIT university.

Woman: why did you take so much risk to help me? What if you got hurt?

Abhi: first try tho karlethe aunty! By the way i don't give up that easily!

woman: i owe you one for this. I really mean it. What can i give you in
return for your help? I can give you anything you ask for.

Abhi:I didn't help you expecting that i would get something in return for my help. But if you really wanna help,help the people outside the temple. Feed them at least twice a week.Take care aunty. I gotta go.

The woman was completely moved and  fell for abhi's generosity.

Abhi left the temple with nithu. They purchased a few books for their new semester on their way to hostel. Abhi was very happy that she left the burden on god, freeing herself as suggested by the woman. She felt proud that she saved a life!   Nithu was happy for abhi.
