Blake

I pulled up in front of our house and saw balloons and streamers along with a line of cars in the driveway and down the street. Today was my princess’s birthday and I had just touched down in LA about an hour ago. I turned the car off and sat back for a minute trying to compose myself. I was actually nervous. Today was the day for me to fight for my family.

After sitting there for a while, I finally climbed out of the car. I walked to the trunk and opened it. I pulled out the numerous bags and boxes that had all of Alaia’s gifts. I may have gone a little over board but it was my baby girl’s first birthday. She deserved the world.

I walked up to the door and struggled to open it with everything in my hand. When I finally opened it, I found the house quiet for the most part but heard all the noise coming from the backyard. I walked out to the backyard and found an insane amount of people and kids spread out across the yard. Most were celebrities and their kids and the rest were family and friends. I had to say that Daniela did a good job putting everything together.

I sat all the gifts I had in my hands on the table that was set up for gifts. As I made my way across the yard to find Alaia and Daniela, I was constantly being stopped by someone just wanting to speak and asking how the tour went. I eventually came to my mom.

“Hey mom.” I said as I smiled at her and pulled her into a hug.

“Don’t smile at me Austin. That smile isn’t going to work today.” She said sternly. “I should be  yelling at you right now.”

I sighed.

“I know-“ I started off but she cut me off.

“No you don’t know. I can’t believe you could make such a dumb mistake. That girl is nothing but loyal to you and you turn around and break her heart like that. She didn’t deserve that Blakee. She loves you with everything in her and you want to cheat on her with some irrelevant girl. You were obviously thinking with what’s in your pants and not your head. If she leaves you, then you deserve it. You need to fix this immediately.” She snapped.

“Okay mama.” That was all I could say right now. I know my mama had to be really upset with me to go off on me like that. I didn’t even get to walk through the door good enough and I was getting chewed out.

“Now, go find your daughter and your fiancé. They’re over there.” She said as she pointed towards the back of the yard.

Just as I looked over there, Daniela looked up and our eyes connected. She was so damn beautiful. We held eye contact for a long time and I could see the hurt in them. It made my heart ache. She eventually dropped her eyes away from me as she bent down to pick up Alaia who was running around near her.

My baby was walking. I couldn’t help but smile.

I finally started walking towards them. Daniela turned to me with Alaia on her hip. I looked down on her ring finger and saw that she still had her engagement ring on. That gave me a little hope. When Alaia saw me, she started bouncing in Daniela’s arms. I started grinning.

“Hey, baby girl!” I said as I grabbed her and placed a fat kiss on her cheek. She giggled. “I missed you.”

I flooded her face with more kisses before lifting my head to see Daniela looking at us with a slight smile. When she realized I was looking at her, her smile faded and she turned to walk away.

“Baby, wait. I just want you to listen to me.” I said as I grabbed her hand to stop her.

She sighed as she looked everywhere but at me.
