Mycroft's responces
1. What was your childhood like?
My childhood was insane. My dad beat my mom, and then Sherlock, he doesn't think I know this but do, because I tried to stand up once but was beat so bad that I was "sent off to camp" which meant sent to a hospital. I was an ass to Sherlock, I won''t lie. He had all my mom's attention and she never looked at me like she did at him. Sherlock once saved me in a fight when I was being bullied. I never thanked him but instead shrugged it off. I was horrible when I was younger, but now I think I have learned from my mistakes.
2. Have you ever slept with anyone besides me?
No, I was never sure of my sexual orientation. I didn't want to have sex, I was to busy trying to rule the world. Also, if you hadn't noticed, I'm not someone people, besides you, just cuddle up to. Some people actually fear me.
3. What do you do at your job?
You know I can't tell you that. But, I have a friend who controls many businesses that are used by the government. He has people in all sorts of places, usually looking out for his best interest. Yes he does some illegal things but it comes with the job.
4. Why do you hide your feelings from other people?
Because caring is not an advantage.
5. What were you like in school?
I was an ass who was blackmailing the board of education. I basically ruled the school, I didn't have or need friends. I was the kid that everyone avoided, not that I cared. Teachers gave me straights A's although I'm sure I should have gotten a B or 2 in there somewhere. I used my power on mostly adults but I once saw a kid who was about to go beat up Sherlock, (He doesn't know this) and instead I ended up blackmailing him as well. I made sure he never laid a finger on Sherlock, ever.
6. Have you ever killed someone?
Depends. I have never personally shot or killed anyone but I have hired others to do that sort of thing for me. Honestly I can barely do our jogs on Sunday, do you really think I'd have enough strength to do so?
7. What is it with you and your obsession with umbrellas?
I do not have an obsession with umbrellas. Just because London is a mostly rainy city and I like to intimidate people by holding something I can easily beat them with does not make it an obsession. Now if you want to know why I started caring around my usual umbrella in particular then that's a different story.
It was raining (obviously) and I didn't have an umbrella. I was walking home from a meeting (I didn't have the cars yet and I was still fairly young.) when a colleague of mine, who had been in the meeting, came up behind me. He had an umbrella and started to discuss work related things with me. Towards the end of the conversation he asked why I didn't have my own umbrella, now I could have told him that Sherlock kept doing experiments on them but instead I simply told him that I had never thought to go buy one. So he gave me his. He walked away in the rain and I haven't seen him since, but it was the first nice thing anyone had given me, so I kept it.
8. When was the first time you had cake?
On my 4th birthday my mother had been given a little money to go shopping for something for my birthday. All the kids at school had birthday cakes, but not me. So when she asked what I wanted I said I wanted cake. She spent all day baking that one cake for me, it was the nicest thing she ever did. I ate 2 slices and let Sherlock and my mom have the rest. I loved it but since we were never just given money I had to wait a whole nother year for more. When I finally became rich enough to do as I please I hired a chef to bake cake for me everyday. But still none have ever tasted as good as the one my mother made me.
9. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be someone powerful, so I could boss my dad around and make him stop hitting my mother. It didn't matter my job as long as I could make him pay. I found out about blackmail from a classmate in 3rd grade and have been doing it ever since. Now though I do mare than blackmail.
10. Why do you feel the need to look after Sherlock?
Sherlock is my brother and contrary to popular belief I do love him. I watch out for him because I know that life with people who don't always understand you is hard. So I look out for his best interests, even if that means looking into the future and ignoring the immediate problems.
