*Maria's POV*

I thought Uncle Benjamin had fixed Robin completely, but i realize he is no doctor. Though, he is pretty skilled in many trades, there was no way i would know if he really fixed Robin. But who knows, maybe coughing up blood is just a side effect of Uncle Benjamin's treatment. Doubtful though.

"Uncle!" I called as i descended the stairs rather quickly, almost losing my footing a couple of times. But i managed to make it down the stairs without any major bruises or anything. "Uncle!" I began to get frustrated when i was getting no response whatsoever. Once at the bottom of the stairs, i was met by a worried-looking Wrolf, whimpering and yipping anxiously. Yeah, he knows something is wrong too. I know Robin just got shot and all so obviously he's going to be bleeding for a while but coughing up blood?

"Uncle Benjamin!" I wailed, searching frantically for him through out the house, pushing past Wrolf and running down the hall. I don't think i could handle losing him. It felt like my heart burst open when i saw him get shot and almost bleed to death, i don't think i could go through that again. Finally i found Uncle Benjamin sitting in an antique wooden chair, that was carved so intricately that it must be one of a kind, at the dining room table while sipping something from a glass cup. It smelt as if it were coffee.

"Woah, woah, what's the hurry?" He gave me an annoyed look as i tried desperately to catch my breath, leaving me panting like a dog.

"I- um- Robin...." I tried to dance cleverly around the topic of me actually sneaking up to see Robin when i wasn't supposed to, but that was hard to do.

"Oh for goodness sake, spit it out!" He urged.

"Um... isnuckuptoseeRobinandnowhe'skindofcoughingupblood" I spoke so quickly because, one, i didn't want to get in trouble, and two, because i was so anxious.

        "Slow down!"

"So i uh, kind of snuck up to see Robin..." I was playing with the ribbons on my tattered dress and avoiding all eye contact with Uncle Benjamin at all costs. "But before you get angry! He's coughing up blood so something's wrong with him!" Uncle Benjamin's eyes went impossibly wide as he jumped up from his seat and messily put down his coffee cup, spilling the hot brown liquid on the table in small puddles. "Come quick!" I lead him right back up the steep steps up to where Robin was probably passing out from blood loss right now.

Shoving open the door and nearly scaring Robin right off his bed, i let Uncle Benjamin in to check him out. "Robin, what's going on?" From the looks of it, Robin had been continuing to cough blood from his lungs and spitting it from his mouth and into the bin next to him. My heart was racing like a horse. My uncle pulled back the wraps and bandages that were sticking to Robin's bloody wounds, which caused me to cringe just at the sight, and Robin to his in paint. "Robin, take a deep breath..." Robin did as he was told and Benjamin sighed at what i guess he found. "We need to get you up and to my work station now, can you stand?" Robin nodded and attempted to stand.

Once at his feet, his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he fell to the ground. He must have passed out. "No..." Uncle Benjamin murmured and held his two fingers to his wrist. Wait, maybe he didn't pass out... was he de- No! He couldn't be!

        "Uncle!" I pleaded.

"Maria get out of here!" he insisted, his voice shaking and he began to work on Robin. "Come on, DeNoir, don't do this!" He laid Robin's limp body on the floor and put his hands over his chest and began to push on his rib cage to get his heart to hopefully beat again. "Robin!" He was getting frustrated, blood smearing over his working hands as he continued to do CPR on Robin until i thought his ribs were going to snap. I was at the brink of tears, and shaking terribly.

"Robin!" I cried, my voice hoarse and rough.

"Maria get out!" He was so harsh that i almost flinched away. He then went back to focusing on Robin. "Don't die on me, DeNoir!" He frantically gave his last attempt to save Robin but it quickly failed as Uncle Benjamin sat back on his heals, looking at Robin, the bloody mess, and then down at His own hands which were smeared a crimson red. He couldn't save him. Robin. Sighed, doubtfully checking his pulse one last time then closing his eyes and his jaw went tense.

        "Maria, i'm so sorry."

         My heart stopped.
