Stay With Me (Robin + Maria)

*robins POV*

"You know you shouldn't wander around alone around here." I puffed out my chest slightly to seem stronger. But, to be honest, I could kill him in one second if I wanted to.

"Oh, I know," he bows at the Waist slightly to show respect. Bernard slithered out of the bush and stepped up behind me, twirling a dagger in his fingers. The boy was frightened. "I was just meeting my friend."

"I know," I pulled out a dagger of my own and matched Bernard's lethal position. Stepping forward to look at him in more detail, he flinched. "I won't hurt you ... Yet."

"I am sorry, I didn't mean to bother you. I'm in sort of a hurry." He says quickly, obviously nervous.

"Meeting Maria, I see." He looked confused as to how I knew her but didn't answer. "Well back off, she's taken." I lied, though I wish it was true.

"Taken?" He repeated to himself. He seemed lost in his thoughts. "Taken so quickly... Hmm."

"Robin, stop playing with the damn boy." Bernard looked bored. He obviously wanted a fight that he was not getting. "If you are going to kill him, then do it already, I don't want to be late for dinner." Okay now he was just being sarcastic.

"Jonathan!" Maria ran towards him and nearly tackled him with a hug. She didn't even notice me so I ran to the bushes. I don't want her thinking I followed her or something... Which I did.

"Maria," he matched her grin and slipped an arm around her waist. "I haven't seen you in forever."

"I know, it's been too long." She laughed.

"So I hear you have a boyfriend now." He tried to keep his cool. Maria seemed totally confused.

"A boyfriend?" She looked at him with her eye brows knit together in confusion. "Who told you that?"

"Him..." Jonathan went to point at me but I wasn't there. Maria had no idea what was going on. But when she figured it out you could see it in her face.

"I'm sure it was just a jerk, who doesn't know how to leave someone alone." She grabbed his arm and nearly dragged him inside and that was the end.
