*Maria's POV*
I take one last glance at my room before we leave. I can't believe I'm leaving without even telling uncle Benjamin or Miss Heliotrope. Only Digweed knows and I trust him to keep it a secret and let uncle Benjamin find out himself. Sure, Digweed isn't the smartest, but he will keep a secret.

"Where exactly are we going, Robin?" I ask inquisitively. He smiles, lifting only one side of his mouth up as usual. It was a crooked smile, but you learned to live it.

"Into the neighboring woods, where my father is banned." He explains and keeps walking. I follow. He takes big steps As a usual guy would, and one of his footsteps equals about three footsteps for me, three big footsteps, may I add.

"Why don't we just kill your father?" I ask.

"Because it is easier just to run away, if you must know." He replies moodily. I decide not to ask much more questions. A large gust of wind rattles the trees fragile limbs and shakes the leaves right off the branches sending them floating back down to the earth like a light snowfall. My teeth chatter and my limbs tremble. It wasn't such a good idea to wear such a light dress, especially without a coat. Wrolf follows me out the door and catches up with me with a velvet sweater hung I between his sharpened teeth.

Aww that's cute.

I take it from him graciously and pet him in the head, ruffling the fur slightly. "Get that mangy mutt away from me." Robin cringes and nearly jumps out of the way of Wrolf.

"He's not 'mangy' and he's as cute as a bunny." I adore Wrolf as he growls at Robin. In Robin's defense, though, Wrolf is pretty scary , and he is a black lion in disguise as a dog. But, on the other hand, Robin is a robber, or at least was one.

"Just get him away from me" Robin hides behind a tree and I burst out laughing. "don't laugh at me, Maria." He scowls. Yet I continue to laugh and he pouts. Wrolf growls then trots off back to the mansion.

We continue to walk for a while then take a break by a calm pond of water that I had no clue was here. "So this is it,we're leaving Moonacre." I sigh. I truly felt bad about leaving but I wasn't going to let Robin go by himself. "I'm tired and cold."

"Wait here, I'll make a fire and we can sleep here for the night." He says. The next thing I know, I am asleep or at least dozing off until I hear a putrid sound. "MARIA!!" Robin calls but when I open my eyes I can't see him. I could hear the terror raging through his voice and that scared me even more.

"Robin! Where are you?!" I call back, searching the trees surrounding me frantically.

"Above you." He hollers. I look up and sure enough, there he is dangling by a rope attached a tree branch at one end and his foot at the other. Right below him was the fire that he built, so that eliminated cutting him down as an option. "Get me down!" His voice shakes with fear.

"Oh, how cute." A person says from behind me. I fling around quickly and find Myself staring face to face with his father. He pushes me against a tree with a blade at my throat. "Leaving so soon, Maria?"
