*Maria's POV*

We trudged through the thick forest. Crunchy leaves covered the awkward silences that were left unspoken, yet it was still empty.

"So... This girl you loved... Who is she?" I teased a little. He seemed caught off guard at first, stumbling over his thoughts for words to say in response.

"Oh, umm..." He looked around. "Her name is Mari-" he stopped himself. "Mary... Her name Is Mary. You wouldn't know her." He bit his lip.

"Did she ever come back to you?" I smiled, still teasing. He knew that I knew I was the girl, he was just too stubborn to admit it. But, then again, I am too. Sticks and twigs grabbed and snatched at my dress, but I was used to it by now. I could practically walk around in pants if I so pleased. What a hideous thought, pants on girls. I could almost hear Ms. heliotrope from here, tsk'ing in disapproval.

"I found my way back to her." He flashed me one of his quick, devious smiles and glanced at me briefly as we walked. "So where to, Miss Maria?" He said mocking a formal accent and tone.

"Anywhere your heart desires, Mr. De Noir." I answered, mocking him and his dumb fake accent.

"No, silly, Mr. DeNoir is my father. I'm Just Robin, plain old Robin."he looked down shyly. Since when was Robin shy? Never.

"What's wrong."

"Nothing." He looked back up and tried to act all manly. It didn't work. "Just looking for tracks."

"Pshh, yeah right." I nudged him and he pushed me back playfully, but I guess I was lighter than he thought. I fell down. "Oww."

"Ooh, sorry." He held out his hand to help me up, but instead I pulled him down into a large pile of leaves. "You, trickster!" He smiled. Rolling over further into the pile of leaves, his eyes widened in shock then he let out a loud scream. "OOWWW" he jumped five feet in the air, a bear trap clamper down on his arm. It was bleeding tremendously and wasn't stopping any time soon.

I freaked out a Little. Blood is definitely not my thing, and I can't handle it. "Eww don't bleed on me!" I squealed, jumping back away from him.

"It's just a little blood, Maria." He smiled and flung blood at me then wrapped his hand in his scarf. The thick, crimson blood seeped through the thin fabric and dripped a little, but It didn't bother him.

My jaw dropped at the little red dots spewed onto my dress. And this was my good dress. "EW,YOU REPULSIVE ANIMAL." I screamed without thinking.

"Yeah but you love me." He nudged my shoulder with his and kept walking
