*Robin's POV*
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" I taunt him. He glares at me with his eyes like daggers, but I wasn't intimidated.
"Why don't you shut up?" He mocks me and drives the knife even closer to her neck. I swing and squirm in the air, but I know it will do no good.
"Kill me instead," I say without thinking. "Let her go and kill me instead." I keep talking. I really need to shut up because I know he will kill me.
"Or," he smiles devilishly. He pauses dramatically. "I could kill you both."
I kick frantically until the knot becomes loose and I swing myself as far away from the fire as I could. I plummet to the ground and land on my head, right next to the fire that I set up myself. Maria squeals, because if she screamed the knife would drive directly into her neck.
"Let her go!" I drive my boot into my fathers rib, sending him flying away from Maria and the knife dropping to the ground. Snatching the knife that he dropped, I pinned him to the ground and nearly slit his throat, but I restrain.
"Now look who's life is on the line." I smile back at him evilly. Out of every quality and feature that I got from my dad, our smiles are the most obvious. A little lopsided, but that melted people everytime.
Sometimes it works in my favor and other times... It doesn't.
"I've taught you well, Robin." He tries to make the moment better.
"No, you did nothing for me. The woods taught me my ways." I snarl and push the blade closer to his throat. If he said one more thing about his raising me, I would kill him right here, right now.
"Robin, don't." Maria warns me. She's right, killing him would be no good.
But it was so tempting.
