*robins POV*
I ran my fingers along the rough stones outside the pillar that led to Maria's room. If she wouldn't invite me into her room, then I guess I'd have to sneak in. I can just picture her now, she was probably sitting in her room with Jonathan telling stories about what had happened when they were gone. They were probably smiling and having the best time of their lives.

I grasped onto a stone cemented into the wall and began to climb. My fingers ached slightly when I reached half way up the wall, but it didn't bother me much. I always climbed walls. My hands were rough already from having to climb and hunt.

When I reached up to her window, I heard her scream. "Maria!" I called to her as I slid Into the window of her room. There stood Jonathan with a knife clasped tight in is hand. Maria lay frightened on the bed. "Maria, are you okay?" I called to her. She ran to me quickly and hugged me super tight.

"Jonathan," she cried. "What's wrong with you?" She tried to catch her rapid breaths. His eyes were those of a maniac as he watched her every move.

"Do you know how long I've been alone in my miserable home?!" His voice sounded almost desperate. "Maria, I was the one who killed my mother!" She gasped behind me.

"Jonathan, put the damn knife down!" I snatched the knife out of his hand. He obviously wasn't very skilled with a knife like I was. "I know what you're feeling and I know this isn't what you want to do." I tried to sympathize with him but he didn't seem to care. "Maria," I tilted my head and whispered to her. "Climb out that window... Now."

"You know nothing, you foul mutt." He spit at me. "What would you know about being alone? You're probably living in that disgusting castle across the woods with a nest of other rodents like yourself."

Okay, now I'm pissed.

"Oh, yeah. Like you've been disowned by your father." I swung the knife at him, missing him by an inch just to scare him. "Like you've been living in the woods for most of your life." I swung it again, getting even closer to him. He was frightened, shattering his tough appearance. "Like you've watched the girl you love, run away from you, not knowing if she'll ever come back!" I swung it for the last time, this time I aimed to kill.

"Robin, no!" Maria's terrified voice stopped me just centimeters away from Jonathan's throat.

"No, Maria. He wanted to kill you, now it's my turn." I growled.

"Leave him, he can deal with the guilt of killing his mother and almost his friend." She persuaded me. I sighed, pushing the blade against his throat to draw a little bit of blood then flinging the knife to the ground.

"Let's go, Maria." I tried to conceal my anger. "We're leaving now." I pushed my body out of the window and landed easily on the ground. Maria followed.
