For The Love of God... (Rin x Reader)

It was a nice and somewhat chilly night in Iwatobi, so you and Rin decided to go for a late night walk through the park. The street lights were illuminating the park, a little to bright for your liking. You linked arms with Rin, smiling up at him. He grinned back at you. There was an eerie silence, comforting, but you could feel something dangerous in the air.

Suddenly, 5 big men appeared from behind the trees. One pulled me away from Rin. I screamed in pain as the strong man harshly pulled my arm, "(Y/N)!", Rin reached out for me, but the other 4 guys gained up on him. One man punched Rin in the stomach, the other kicked him as Rin fell to the ground. They all continued to kick him. You could feel your blood boiling. You pulled yourself out of the man's grip. "Hey! Get back here!", he lunged at you, but you quickly dodged his tackle. The other 4 men noticed that you had escaped and went to try to catch you. One eventually did and he was about to knock you out.

"You can break my soul...", Rin got up from the ground, clutching his stomach.

"Take my life away...", his bangs covered his eyes.

"Beat me...Hurt me...", he stumbled over towards us.

"Rin, don't. Please, run! I can handle them.", I cried.

"Kill me...", he still continued.

He finally stopped in front of us, "But for the love of god..."

He clenched his fists, "Don't touch her!"

He raised his fist to punch but it was caught by a giant hand. The man who was holding me passed me off to another and went to beat up Rin. Rin was kicked in the stomach, again. You stayed still, anger seeping out of you. A dark aura can be felt around you from miles away. "Eh? What's wrong? Aren't you gonna save your stupid little boyfriend?", the man who was holding you kept his grip. You clenched your teeth. "Rin, please. Let me do it.", you looked at Rin. Blood was already seeping out the corners of his mouth. Your heart broke at the sight. You didn't have to wait for Rin's answer.

You managed to free your dominant arm and elbowed the man who had his arms around you in the face, kicking him where the sun doesn't shine. Another man charged at you, readying his fist for a punch. You ducked in time and caught his arm as he passed behind you and twisted it, making a loud cracking noise. "Agh!", the man cried out in pain. The 3 remaining men, including the one who was beating Rin, charged towards you. You did a back handspring, kicking the one in front of you square in the jaw. The one on your left tried to grab onto your shirt, but you slapped his arm away. You swept your leg at his feet, making him fall backwards. You immediately kneed his back as he was falling, cracking his spine, possibly breaking it. You looked down at the ground, but you could tell that the last man looked at you with wide eyes, but still proceeded to charge at you. You reached your arm out, grabbing his neck and squeezing with all your force, still looking at the ground. You looked straight into the man's eyes, "Don't touch me, don't touch him....Ever. You hear me?", you growled, grip getting tighter with every second. The man let out a strangled "Yes" and you let him go.

You immediately rushed to Rin's side. Luckily, nothing was broken. "Come on. Let's get you home...We need to patch up those injuries.".

You placed Rin on the couch in the living room and gave him some water and the first aid kit. You placed the disinfectant on one of his cuts, he flinched a little. You raised your arm a little higher, your bicep right in front of his eyes. He could see the forming, purple bruise from where the man held you. "They hurt you...", Rin croaked. You looked at your arm, "Huh? This? I'm fine. I just need ice, but you're a totally different story.", you continued to dan on the disinfectant. "I'm sprry I couldn't protect you.", he looked away from you. "It's alright. As long as I have you by my side, I'll always feel protected."
