Today is tell a story day,

a time to have some fun,

take a book and start to read

with your little loved one.

From the land of make believe

they let their minds run wild,

so make reading a pleasure,

enjoy it with your child.

Reading to a child can help make your relationship stronger as you both share the experience. It can also help with speech skills as your child tries to repeat some of the words you are saying. The more you read the better communication skills your child will learn, by reading to a child at an early age they are learning that reading is fun.
