Frustrated, I added, 'There isn't much more that I can help you with, except that I can talk to Henry on your behalf, because Pan doesn't know I'm here.'

The utter unbroken silence was more appalling than any ominous noise, than the loudest yells of anguish, than the most piercing screaming.

Dead silence.

Literally dead.

Oh god.

Pan was here.

I could feel him lingering behind me before he even announced his presence. I could sense his smugness.

'Oh doesn't he?' Came a voice behind me and I froze, almost hearing my heart hammering in my chest. 'I didn't know you were here, did I?' A voice whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. 'Well, well, well, what happened here, Tiger Lily?'

I gasped as my stomach lurched and I turned around sharply, my chest grazing his, his lips curling into a grin, his eyes detrimental, yet relaxed.

'Peter.' I whispered disbelieving. I felt the eyes of my newly formed allies studying us, not quite realising my tragic fate. I hoped that they would never understand the extent of Peter Pan's cruelty. I swallowed.

His eyes are dark, a shadow creeping across his face.

I trembled.

I couldn't begin to comprehend how he found me. It was the game. Everything Pan did was perfectly calculated, perfectly timed. He knew what he was going to say and do and the consequences of this. But, most terrifyingly, he seemed to know what I was going to say and do. He predicted my reactions and actions before I even did them. And that's what made him very, very dangerous.

'You disobeyed me, Tiger Lily. You betrayed me, Tiger Lily.' Pan stated. 'Did you really think I wouldn't notice? Did you really think I was that stupid to just ignore the fact that you weren't there?'

'Well, Pan, I hope your not operating under the misconception that we are somehow on the same side.' I smirked.

I knew that I was confusing to Pan by the way he looked at me in that short, brief moment. He looked at me like I was as mysterious as the depths of the ocean or the shadowed moon. I wanted to save his life, but I was also was determined to save Henry's life. I was complicated, two sides into one.

I was a loyal traitor.

'Is that your choice? You know what happens to people who choose the wrong side, don't you Tiger Lily? I torture them and punish them and hurt them and I don't care because they mean nothing to me,' He told me sternly and I flinched at his harsh words.

Therefore, with as much as confidence as I could muster, I shouted, 'Who exactly do you think you are, Pan? You promised not to hurt Henry, you promised to give him a choice!'

Pan raised an eyebrow, his eyes widening, his face like thunder. 'And who exactly do you think you are, believing that by some miracle you have the right to ask me all these questions and demand to know the answers?'
