'TWENTY!' Pan bellowed and I squealed.

I was running and laughing. The wind picked up my hair and blew it around the forest, catching the twigs and getting moss stuck in the locks. Trees bursting with leaves that covered the sky, swaying in the muddled chill of the wind; the sun dapples and bends its way through the skeletal branches with the afternoon's amber light.

Laughing, I spun my head around to see him picking up the pace. I squealed with delight and tried to accelerate with him as I followed the paths through Neverland.

Suddenly, two arms were wrapped around my waist, pushing me to the floor. Briefly, I was winded by shock and the large force that knocked me to the ground as Pan's heavy weight landed on top of me. However, I quickly recovered and squealed with frustration. I screamed helplessly, trying hard to wriggle out from underneath him, out of breath from the running and the laughing.

I struggled as he grabbed my hands and locked them at the top of my head, holding me there as he caught his breath.Pan grinned at me and pinned me down with his torso, plugging my hands in his to stop me from fighting. He paused for a moment to look at me, then brought his lips towards mine. I turned my head to the side, erupting into his fits of laughter.

Laughing, Pan brought his lips to my cheek and kissed me. 'Peter...' I whined, giggling and twisting my head around as much as possible to teasingly try to dodge more kisses. He just laughed harder and brought his lips to my nose, forehead, neck and finally lips.

I lifted my head up, bringing my lips closer to him and deepening the kiss. He smelt of sweat and the forest, tasting like berries. His scent was everything I loved because it reminded me of him and of Neverland.

He pulled away and I pouted, not wanting him to leave me without more kisses. Climbing off me and holding out his hand politely, he suggested, 'Come on, we should probably get back to camp.'

'Once more?' I begged, shooting him a sweet, innocent smile.

He laughed, kissing my cheek.

'One... Two... Three...' Pan counted loudly, with his left hand, dusted with dirt and roughened with work, over his eyes, obscuring his view from me. I took two steps backwards, grinning at him. At first, I considered pulling faces to see if he would peek, but swiftly decided against it. Pan liked winning, but today, I would show him a real competitor.

'Four... Five... Six... Seven...' Breaking into a sprint, I darted through the trees, running as far away from Peter as I possibly could. I laughed loudly, throwing my head back as I did so, with delight.

'Eight... Nine... Ten... Eleven... Twelve...' I could still hear his voice booming through the dense forest, echoing off the tall oak trees. Realising that I was still clearly in earshot, I accelerated in order to expand the distance between me and Pan as much as possible before he reached twenty.

'Thirteen... Fourteen.. Fifteen. Sixteen. SeventeenEighteenNineteen' I grumbled, hearing him obviously speeding up, determined to beat Pan, who was yet undefeated. So on I ran. Ran on and on, ducking tree branches and jumping fallen limbs. Dodging the rip grass, nasty stuff that tore long gashes in your legs, and skipped over gopher holes.
