I woke to someone applying a cold cloth to my cheek. I jerked my head in the direction I thought was away, but instead ended up bumping into someone.

I cringed at my foolishness and shoved myself awkwardly to the other side of whatever I was lying on. 'Easy, Darling, I'm not going to hurt you.'

Everything hurt. My head, my back, my ears, everything. My head pounded, like someone was drumming an unholy beat into my head. My back ached as it was tightly pressed against the hard surface. My ears rang.

My fingers twitched from nerves, brushing against something hard as I felt my eyes slowly pry themselves open. A white, hot light flooded my eyes as I winced,  sucking in a breath before closing my eyes shut again.

I swallowed nervously, scared witless about where I was and why I had no memory of how I ended up here. I turned my head to the side, keeping my eyes closed as I focused on getting my breathing right now.

I took in shallow breaths, waiting for them to become even before I slowly opened my eyes again, I had to blink a few times as everything looked foggy and unclear, like I was looking from under water.

A small mewl left my lips as I managed to keep my eyes open.

Everything felt strange and untrue. My body ached, my skin felt cold and I felt exhausted. I looked upwards at the pirate, who I instantly recognised to be Hook, much to my surprise.

'Why am I here? Can you tell me now? What do you want?' My voice was a little stronger than a whisper, but I still felt feeble and pathetic, much to my utmost annoyance.

Hook smiled kindly and sympathetically, gently changing the bandages around my wrist from where the pirates ruthlessly hurt me. 'I want to thank you for trusting me and making it look convincing. I know at first it must have been hard, but we needed it to seem like a legitimate kidnapping for Pan and the Lost Boys. But don't worry, Lily, you have nothing to worry about, you will not be harmed by any of my crew.'

'A-And yourself?' I felt uneasy as I was so weak that I was completely defenceless in case Hook did intend on harming me.

'What about me?' He asked and apologised a couple of times as I winced and hissed as he wiped at my injured and raw skin.

'You didn't include yourself when you mentioned your crew, do you intend on harming me as a way of defeating Pan?' I asked softly and calmly, watching his every move with wonder as to when he learnt all of this.

'I have no intention to.' He shrugged, sending me a small smile. 'These wounds need cleaning, otherwise you'll get an infection.'

'Am I meant to be a prisoner here?' I asked as calmly as possible, breaking the silence that hovered over us. The way he looked at me was with such pity I knew that his plan for me was risky, but we both knew I would do it in order to rescue Henry and bring down the man that lied to me and abandoned my son.

'No, you must stay in here mostly, except you occasionally may go anywhere on this ship with the accompaniment of a member of my crew, but not on deck in case Pan sees you. But in a short while, you will be free to leave according to Pan's accord, if you wish to participate in our plan.' Hook explained curtly.

'So... a prisoner then?'

'Look, if you want to be my prisoner then you will remember that I have a lovely set of leaking, dank cells on the brig.' He chuckled, continuing to clean up my remaining wounds.
