Hey,
Thanks for reading! I'm so excited to be on chapter 10 already.
This chapter was interesting to write and reveals the complex, dynamic nature of Pan and Tiger Lily's relationship.
Sorry for the wait- I was quite busy, but this chapter is quite long.
Please vote and comment.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it,

'What are we doing up here?' I asked, walking slowly behind Peter Pan who stood on the cliff edge, overlooking the vast oceans and the even vaster skies at the bottom of the steep cliffs. He beamed mischievously, turning around to escort me to my seat.

Pan still suspected that I wasn't entirely supportive of his advances to find Henry, but didn't claim to think that because 1) if he was wrong then I would be furious and 2) because he knew that I was slowly beginning to fall in love with him and he didn't want to ruin what trust we had for each other and 3) he was so arrogant that those thoughts could be wiped down because either I must love him or he would succeed, regardless of who I supported.

'Dining.' He replied briefly, not really answering my question. We were sat under the millions of stars blinking down at us from millions of miles away. It was strange to think that one of those stars was where Malcolm lived and where the owner of the Heart of the Truest Believer, Henry, was from.

At first, I was reluctant. But, as per usual, my liberal choices were taken away from me and I was silently forced to perch on the edge of the seat beside him, enjoying the view of the tides, watching the waves gently simmer in the light of the glistening moon.

'Do you still love me, after everything I did to you?' Pan asked suddenly, carving into his steak with his knife, but his eyes remaining on me.

'I hate you, and then I love you. It's like I want to push you off this cliff and then catch you at the bottom.' I teased and he chuckled, but his eyes were empty of laughter.

'Don't forget that I can fly.' He winked and I laughed shakily. He couldn't be more right. The metaphor had ended, but he was reminding me that I could do nothing to kill him or harm him.

'Only with happy thoughts,' I pointed out, reminding him of his mortality morosely. 'That's how you did it, isn't it? No native could have happy thoughts when their defenceless family had been slaughtered by the person their princess, their daughter, loved.'

'Look, I know my actions weren't justified, but I'm sorry. I'm sorry for killing all of those native people, I was just so angry and they had hurt you, so I killed them all. I'm sorry.' He muttered into his dinner, but his words remained angry, like he was tired of my constant anger about it.

'How did you do it? How did you murder innocent people? How did it not break everything inside of you piece by piece?' I demanded angrily.

'Because I didn't see it that way,' He winced, peering up at me in bitterness. I watched him for a long moment, as he struggled to gather his thoughts into words. 'I just saw the people who drove you off the island; the people that almost made you marry Dafara; the people that verbally and physically abused you... and I... I hated them for it.'

I nodded and looked at my food, reluctant to begin another argument. Since arriving on this island, I hadn't hated Pan as much. But in reality, I hated him, with every fibre in my body. That hatred would never perish, it would only advance like age, but become an everlasting, eternal hatred for what he had done. I could never forgive him, that was a fact carved deep into the stone of time. But I couldn't stop loving him either.
