Colette travels with the water along from her cabin to the entrance of the beach and quickly runs towards the armoury and gets out the lightest sword for her build.

She then heads to the Arena where she sees someone has left out a dummy that the other half bloods usually practice on but hasn't been put away. She decides to use it to take out her frustrations on.

Thrack she hits the dummy with her sword.
"Why did I say that?! Stupid stupid stupid!".
Thrack
"You keep letting him get to you but saving him isn't an option no more."

Someone creeps up behind her, Her senses go into overdrive and raises her sword to hit the intruder only to be blocked by her attempt."

She looks at the person up and down and quickly realises its Poseidon.
"Dad..Sorry I didn't realise it was you, I'm feeling quite jumpy lately for obvious reasons."

He smiles at her. "It's fine, I take it things with Cole haven't improved?.
Colette shrugs at him. "I fear I may have made things worse."

Poseidon appears surprised. "How so?".

She strutters nervously. "He asked me why I came back.. I was honest with him and told him I was back for him."

Poseidon chuckles a hearty laugh. "And that's a problem why?."
Colette sighs. "You know how things have been lately.. All the game playing and me constantly looking over my shoulder... The last thing I need is Cole upping up the ante to the next level in order to get me back to the point where I have no choice."

Poseidon sighs "I understand, Do you want me to talk to him?."

Colette shakes her head. "No it's fine it's something I gotta deal with myself.. I'm just worried he's going to take what I said to heart and actually thinking he's got a chance with me."

She looks at Poseidon and smiles. "I wouldn't mind much if he just gave things time rather than making things happen just like that." She clicks her fingers for effect.

Poseidon nods. "He's always been quite headstrong hasn't he?, Thats why you fell for him in the first place."

She laughs smiling at him feeling better. "Why are you being nice to me? I've been mean to you since all this started..the last thing I expected was a conversation like this."

He shrugs at her. "You've had a hard time I acknowledge that after all me being tough on you hasn't helped in the past has it?."

Colette bites her lip. "That wasn't your fault though."

Poseidon sighs happily. "I'm glad we are getting there though.. " He adjusts his hand position on his trident for a better grip. "I'd better go duty calls, Zeus will be happy things are on the up now."

Colette frowns "What's he said about me now?."

Poseidon winks at her. "Don't worry nothing much he's worried you could be a problem for the future and some of the others agree with him."

She choked a laugh. "Three guesses who that is, What did you say to him?".

Poseidon grins "I told him there's no way you'll end up being a problem or God forbid join the Titans."

He puts his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry about Ares he's not the only God who has an influence on Zeus."

Colette blinks in gratitude. "I'm not worried.. How long can he possibly hold a grudge for?.. If Percy can handle him so can I."

He smiles snd nods happily. "Your doing a lot better than when I last saw you, I'll always be watching over you."

She smiles "Thanks dad."
Colette watches as the water takes over him into the sea down a long way away to his palace.
With him gone she turns to the dummy again she has an awful lot of thinking to do.
