Chapter 24

Cole notices Colette running away in a hurry.  He sighs feeling worried about her and he decides to follow her or some how catch up with her. He follows her to the back room of the club which is used as an office and attempts to get into the room with her but she s too quick for him this time and she slams the door in his face.

He knocks on the door. "Colette are you okay?". He waits for a reply but all he gets is radio silence. "Sorry that'ts a stupid question isn't it? I know what your going through Colette." Colette hits the door  in frustration. "How the heck could you possibly know how I'm feeling never mind what I'm going through."

He sighs "Your right I don't but you came back for a reason right?.. I can't help you if you don't let me in."

Colette wipes her tears and removes the barricades blocking the door and opens the door. She looks at him. "How do you know I'm not beyond help?."
He smiles softly "I just know.. And I can prove it to you."
In his head Cole had an idea but if it would work he didn't know.. It would be a quite desperate kind of plan but right now it's the only one he's got because in his mind pushing her didn't work out. For this one he's going to need a different kind of tactic. He desperately needs her on side.

She looks at him quizzically "How?."
Colette breathes fast as if she was having an panic attack. She wonders what games he's playing at now. She desperately didn't want to get hurt again.
Cole was thinking about all this and everything he's learned. He holds out his hand. "I can show you."
Colette was still breathing hard wondering whether she should take the risk.
He smiles softly again. "It's up to you whether you want to take the risk.. You can tell me to go if you want but I promise you there's no games this time."
She frowns "What's changed?."
He grins "You'll never know if you don't let me show you."
Reluctantly she holds out her hand and places her hand in his.
He pulls her along outside the office and back into the club.
She notices her friends had gone. "Probably finished their set." She sighs at the very thought. She was gutted she wasn't able to say goodbye.

He walks on stage with her still holding her hand. Cole reaches the back of the stage and whisper's something to the band.

Piper and Phoebe were with Paige looking on at these strange events.

Piper frowns "What the heck is he doing?!... Should I throw them out."

Paige shrugs "Unless you think they are about to destroy the club or something then yeah but until then I'd hold off."

Phoebe groans in embarrassment realising what Cole was about to do. "Oh god he's going to embarrass himself."

Piper felt like she was two steps behind as usual. "What more than he already does you mean?."

Phoebe shakes her head. "No..No you misunderstood me but If Im thinking he's going to do exactly what he's going to do then.. Let's just say I'll end up with even more nightmares about him than I already do besides its not exactly very good reputation for the paper or my column is it?."

Paige shakes her sister. "Phoebe your not making any sense.."

Phoebe looks at her sister in her eyes with a sigh. "I think he's going to sing."
Paige looks at them both with a smile "Aww how romantic."

Piper frowns "Not in my club they're not!!."

Paige laughs "Relax Piper its best we just leave them to it."

Meanwhile back on the stage Cole gives Colette a microphone and she puts her microphone on the microphone stand in front of her. She looks to her right and notices Cole too has a microphone and a microphone stand.

The music starts to kick in and in that split moment she realises what Cole was going to do and realises he wants her to sing with him.
She blinks rapidly half wanting to get out of this but half feeling grateful that he's really trying.

She recognises the song and she thinks about the last time she had to sing this song when she pleaded with Cole begging him to help her and begging him to talk to her about the kids. She remembers how much she grieved for them and he didn't instead he carried on as normal and resented her for it.
Was this why she also came back? To try and find the old him.. The guy she fell in love with?.

She takes a deep breath and starts to sing.

Colette:

I'm sorry I don't understand where all of this is coming from
I thought that we were fine

Colette:

Cole turner :

Colette:

As the song finished they both hugged each other on stage and he takes her by the hand. The audience was clapping and the sisters Piper and Phoebe and Paige stood there with their mouths open shocked at what they just witnessed.

Colette smiles at him sadly "How did you know I liked the song."

He shrugged. "I didn't but I thought of every song I could think of and I wanted to do something to make you feel better when I was talking to you in that office so I took a risk.. Love is about taking a risk right?."

She nodded. "Let's get out of here."
He grins "Yes let's.."
He takes her by the hand and leads her off the stage into the office where they flamed out heading straight for Cole's penthouse.
