India
"Girl, you look so fine." Kendall complimented as she fluffed up my cleavage.
"OMG you do too, Ken. You look gorgeous." I smiled sadly at her.
"What?"
I sighed. "It's just, I always imagined this moment to be with Zonnique. It's sad that I just lost my friend of so many years, you know? We planned every single moment of our lives together."
"Aww, Indie, it's okay." She hugged me.
"Yeah. Such is life."
Across the hall we heard the laughter of Daniel and Trey. It sounded like they exited his room and were going downstairs.
"I can't tie this shit bro," I heard Daniel say.
"They sound ready." Kendall smiled. She turned and looked at her reflection in my full length mirror.
She was wearing a long nude floor-length dress that hugged her petite frame and a pair of red stilettos. Her thick curly hair was straightened and loosely curled at the ends. She looked amazing. Trey was a very lucky guy.
Along with my long red dress that had a split from the mid thigh to the floor, I wore a pair of black strappy Yves Saint Laurent heels. I had on light make-up and a glitter lipgloss.
Khalil paid for my haircut, mani-pedi and bought my heels. My mom always said I needed a guy who could maintain my lifestyle. Khalil did just that. He loved to spoil me senselessly.
"Honey? Khalil's here. It's time to go," My mom said walking in. She gasped when she saw me all ready to go. "Ay dios mio. I can't believe it. My baby's all grown up." She hugged me and gently rubbed my cheek. "You're beautiful, you have a boyfriend, you're going to prom, graduating in the next two days. Gosh what's next? Oh no, not a grand-baby. I'm too young and sexy to be a grandmother, don't you think?" A single tear rolled down her cheek.
"Aww, don't cry, mami. I don't want my mascara to run." I fanned my eyes with my hand.
"Ay, mi amor." She looked me over and fluffed my cleavage. "Why are your titties so big, chica? Bigger than mine." We laughed. She turned to Kendall. "You look so gorgeous sweetie." She hugged her as well.
"Thanks aunty," Ken joked.
"It's Showtime girls." She walked out.
"I love your mom. Such a drama queen." Kendall laughed.
"You have no idea."
I grabbed my gold Chanel clutch which held important things such as my phone, my lipstick, and mints.
We walked out and stood at the top of the stairs. Kendall to the left and me to the right.
"Stay right there," John said holding up his Nikon camera. "Pose."
I looked at Kendall and she shrugged. We posed and smiled for the camera.
"Now like this," My mom said showing me a pose from side ways with one leg out and a little kissy face. "You two do it back to back." She demanded and used her hand to suggest movement.
Who did this woman think she was? Tyra Banks?
We followed her instructions. And all the boys were standing at the bottom of the steps watching us. Also Kendall's mom who was just smiling the entire time. She was just as sweet as her daughter.
Trey was standing by the left side of the stairs and Khalil by the right side. Daniel watching us as well but held his phone to his ear. He was probably on the phone with his date making sure that she'd be ready for us to pick her up. Since it was so last minute, he asked a girl to prom that he grew up with and she was almost like a family friend. John, of course, paid for everything for her.
