"Good morning, lemon head," I said to Daniel as I walked into the kitchen at 11:15 am.

He looked up at me from his cooking and smiled. "Good morning, bobblehead."

I laughed not only at his comment but also at the sight of him cooking. "Are you cooking?"

"Wow, I didn't know it was that obvious," he said sarcastically.

I admired how adorable he looked trying to concentrate on what he was making.

"What are you making us anyway?" I asked taking a seat on a bar stool.

"Us? Who said I was making you anything?" He raised his eyebrow.

"I did. So what is it?"

He chuckled, "I don't know what I'm making. I'm experimenting. Be my guest."

I laughed. "Ew, well in that case I'll pass."

He shrugged. "Fine by me."

It had been about a month since graduating and things were going fine if you ask me. Khalil and I were great. Kendall and I have grown a stronger bond. Unfortunately, her and Trey broke up for some reason but he still came around. Khalil and Daniel still hated each other's guts. I went over to his apartment more often to avoid him and Daniel clashing. It seemed like they were even more irritable when the other was around ever since they fought at the beach house.

"We're alone again?" I asked him. Mom and dad have been traveling a lot lately.

"Yeah." He set his invention on a plate and turned off the stove. "Why, you afraid you're gonna fall in love with me more if we're here alone?"

I scoffed, "No. I just don't want to take any chances. You're might try to rape me."

He laughed while cleaning up his mess, making me giggle at the sound of his contagious laugh. "It's not rape if you ask for it, baby." He walked away with his plate.

I smiled. "Wait, let me taste it." I got up and followed him into the living room.

"No, you said ew." He sat on the couch and bit into it.

"Don't be mean." I joined him and grabbed one of the things that resembled patties and took a bite of it. After a couple chews my eyes widened. When taking a bite into it, it was like all the ingredients were dancing on my taste buds. There was a mixture of a lot of different flavors but it tasted really good. "This is surprisingly good. What is it?"
