"Goodness gracious, Steph. That dress is so beautiful it's sickening." I said in awe as Stephanie stood on a short pedestal in front of a large ceiling to floor mirror. She was rocking a mermaid style lace dress that was embroidered with small pearls. She looked angelic.

We were dress shopping on Rodeo Drive, accompanied by her mom and Kendall. Her and Cam's wedding was approaching quickly. She only had about 3 months left to finalize everything. Ashton was with her brother, Steve, for the day. He was probably using his nephew as a chick magnet. Kimani was with his dad who was settling into his new home which he wanted me to visit after. He had been preparing a room for Kimani for whenever he would have him.

"Really? You like this one better than the last?"

"Yeah, the last one was kinda plain. This one stands out more." Kendall added.

Steph ran a hand down the side of the dress and admired herself in the mirror. "What do you think mom?"

Steph's mom, Anna, dabbed at her eyes with a tissue. "They all look perfect on you. You could wear a sack and I'd be happy."

"Aww, mom. Stop. You're gonna make me cry." Steph pouted.

Kendall and I shared a look as if we both agreed we'd cry too. The moment was so sweet. We were all so happy for her.

"I don't think I want a mermaid dress though. It's not so flattering to my figure. Not all of us can snap back like India after a baby." Stephanie giggled.

"Girl, please. My stitches did the snapping back for me."

"Can we take a look at some loose fitting options?" Steph asked the employee who'd been assisting us all morning.

"Of course. Follow me." I got up to help Steph step down and lifted the train on the dress until she made it to the changing room.

I walked back to the seating area and took my original seat.

"So, India, I know how close Cameron and your boyfriend are. Have you guys been discussing marriage also? You just seem like such a sweet girl. I wonder if we'll be planning another wedding soon." Miss Anna asked with a warm smile. Her hair was in a cute vintage pin-up style and she was dressed like a businesswoman in a red dress and grey blazer.

I didn't really know much about her. It was only my second time meeting her, the first being at the baby shower. It seemed like she just wanted to make conversation and get to know the people who were around her daughter often.

My eyes widened and I scratched at my scalp nervously. She could've asked me my favorite color or something. Sheesh. But I guess marriage was the topic at the moment so she was just asking innocently.

I cleared my throat and placed a hand on my chest as I processed the question. I couldn't remember the last time Daniel even mentioned wanting to marry me, the more I thought about it. It used to be something he'd always say but lately we'd been so unstable that neither of us had that on our minds. We still weren't on good terms for crying out loud. Were we even ready for marriage? I didn't think so.

"Well, Daniel and I are just focusing on our relationship at the moment. Trying to work things out now that I have a son as well. We have enough time to consider it since we're still so young."

She nodded. "Yes, of course. I respect that. How's your bundle of joy?"

"Oh, gosh. I'm so in love with him. You wanna see some photos?" I pulled out my phone before she responded knowing that she would be excited to see him. I couldn't believe I had become one of those moms who were obsessed with their children and always wanted to share their photos with people.
