The Beginning Of The End

The final act begins, and it's in Jun's POV. Enjoy! It's confusing, but will make more sense as time goes on.

Damn! I write this before I assault the Overlord's hideout.
This is my story, a story where the country was freed once again.
And it all began in the LR unit base.

This makes absolutely no sense to you right now but it will, don't worry.

The LR unit wanted to take the country back from us three. With Rivio dead, that would be easy. We were weakened and held captive.
"Mr Xiao, Rivio is gone. You must accompany me now." A tall ginger haired man stood at the door.
"Fine! Just....why are you guys doing this?"
"We want to free the country, from people like Rivio. Follow me, and I will explain." His stupid words made me angry!
I followed the man closely through the white hallways of the LR base. My mind was still fuzzy, and I couldn't believe Rivio was dead.
Aria would be crushed. I knew about her and Rivio, but decided not to bring it up. Just great! What a great day this has been!
I'd been taken from my hospital bed after I'd woken up and was then in the LR base. Then Rivio died!
Eventually, we arrived in a large red room. Marcus stood at the centre, with a bleary eyed Aria sat down in front of him. She'd obviously been crying. She saw me and weeped again. I must have been a reminder of him in some stupid way.
Marcus bellowed.
"Please sit down, Mr Xiao."
I spitefully sat down.
"Okay people. The LR unit is assuming control of the country now, and we'd ask that you lay down your guns and announce the change to your people, or we kill you."
Aria instantly spoke.
"You'll have to kill me!"
"Aria, calm down. Listen to what he said!" I tried to calm her down.
She muttered a swear word before relaxing.
"Fine! We'll do it." I announced.
This was my plan. We'd tell the people, but absolutely no one in the country would agree after the year of peace and progress.. We'd spark a revolution, and take back the country with ease. We'd do it. I knew we would!
Aria looked at me with anger. This would take some explaining.
"Good. Then we will begin tomorrow."
I was taken back to my cell, and I spent the night mourning my best friend.

Morning came, and I felt empty. There wasn't sadness, or even anger. It just felt like a light had been taken out of my life. Still, I wouldn't let that stop me. Rivio had once said I was the happiest person he knew, so I'd carry on looking for the best in things, in his memory.
Marcus arrived at my cell, and picked me and Aria up. In silence, we were driven to a meeting point that overlooked the town. The LR unit wanted us to give a speech and say how we were handing over the country to them. About two hundred people were watching me as I took the stage.
"Myself and Aria, we are..."
I felt Marcus's eyes on my back as I said my next few words.
"Fighting back against the LR unit. Fuck you Marcus!"
I instantly span around and kicked him in the ribs. He was winded, and fell with ease. Aria attacked the LR guards, and our own guards helped us fight too.
Me and Marcus were in a tough brawl! He smashed me in the face a few times, but I clawed at his head until blood ran out.
Eventually, Marcus gained the upper hand. He picked up a knife from a nearby dead soldier, and shouted.
"Jun, you could have joined us!" He was interrupted by Aria, who had rammed a sword straight through his back.
"That was for Rivio, you son of a bitch!" Aria was back to her ass-kicking ways.
Marcus was imprisoned again, but was near death anyway. The LR unit were wiped out, and the country was safe!
One year passed, with no attacks. Aria and I went back to our leading duties, and kept the country at peace.
Things were finally looking up.
