A few hours later, there was a knock on the door. I heard Derek's bedroom door open and he hurried down the stairs. I heard the front door open and Derek started talking. Jamaica! I heard him call. I groaned and moved Val's arms from around me. I looked at Val fast asleep. Val. I said shaking him. He groaned. Babe, my family is here. I said shaking him again. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. I grabbed a tshirt for him and threw it at him. I walked downstairs to see my brother and my niece in the doorway. Nick! I exclaimed running over and hugging them. they laughed. Hey little sister. Nick said kissing my forehead. I smiled and turned my attention to my adorable niece. Hey Noelle. I said smiling at her. She smiled at me as Nick handed her to me. Hey Aunt Jamaica. she said smiling at me. We all turned our attention to Val as he walked downstairs. So, this is the guy you're spending your time with. Nick said nodding at him. I nodded and introduced them. Val, this is my brother; Nick. Nick, this is my boyfriend; Val. And that's Derek. I said pointing at him. I've met him already. Nick said with a laugh. He turned his attention to Val and shook his hand. My sisters told me a lot about you. he said. All good things, I hope. Val said glancing over at me. We all laughed. Nick nodded. Of course. he said. Nick turned his attention to me. But seriously, I really appreciate you doing this for me, I owe you; big time. he said. I waved him off. You're family Nick, seeing my niece is reward enough. I said with a smile as Noelle kissed my cheek. Nick smiled at us. She always was fond of you. he said with a smile. Hey, would you two mind helping me bring in her stuff? he asked. Val and Derek nodded as they headed out to Nick's car. I sat down with Noelle on the couch and turned on the TV to cartoon. So, how old are you now? I asked her with a smile on my face. She counted on her fingers and held up five. I smiled at her and nodded as the guys brought in all her stuff. I picked her up and walked up to see all the stuff. Alright, you probably already know what all this stuff is. Nick said with a laugh. I laughed. I've babysitted my niece before Nick, I got it. I said with a laugh. He smiled at me and handed me Noelle's bag. If there's any problems, just give me a call. he said. I nodded as he hugged both me and Noelle. I'll see you soon, pumpkin. he said kissing Noelle's head. Thanks again, Jamaica. I shook my head. It's not a problem, have a safe trip. I said walking him towards the door. He walked out to his car and I closed the house door. Derek looked at me. Well, that's for the warning that we're babysitting for a few days. he said with his arms folded. I laughed. Aw come on Derek, I know you love kids. I said walking over to him with Noelle in my arms. I handed her to Derek and he held her and smiled. Noelle reached up and pecked his cheek. Derek laughed. Alright, this kid passes inspection. he said. I laughed. Well, Val and I are gonna set up all our stuff; can you watch her for awhile? I asked. He nodded. Won't be a problem. he said. Thanks Derek. I said grabbing some of Noelle's stuff along with Val and setting everything up.
