Val, Maks, and I walked back into the house from shopping to see Sharna and Alan cooking in the kitchen. Alright Alan cooking, not a bad image. I said with a slight smirk as they turned around. Val nudged me and we all laughed. I walked into the living room to see Noelle on the couch watching Charlie Brown's Christmas movie. I smiled and lifted her up. Alan take care of you? I asked. I looked over at Alan as I felt his eyes on me. You did care of her, right? I asked. He nodded. Of course I did, you know you can trust me. he said. I looked at Noelle. Did he take care of you? I asked again. She nodded with a playful smile. I looked over at Sharna for an honest answer. She nodded with a grin. Good. I said with a laugh. I picked her up and sat down on one of the stools on the island of the kitchen where Sharna and Alan are cooking. What we got cooking? Val asked. I looked at him with a laugh. We just ate! I said. He shrugged. So? he asked. I rolled my eyes as he grabbed Noelle from me and held her. What do we have cooking Chef Alan and Chef Sharna? I asked. Alan placed a tray down in front of me. We've got steak, we've got chicken. he said. I beamed at the food. See, I'm not the only one who's hungry. Val said with a playful smile. I rolled my eyes. Whatever, Chmierkowskyi. I said as Maks walked downstairs. Ramaka. I heard him call. I turned around in my seat. Yeah? I asked. He held up a bag. I nodded and walked over to him and followed him upstairs to the guest bedroom. Maks pulled out the contents of the bag. The engagement ring I picked out for Val was seated in a black box. I looked at the ring. I sighed and looked at Maks. Do you think he'll like it? I asked. He smiled at me and put an arm around my neck and kissed my head. He's going to love it, you know why? he asked. I looked at him. Because it came from you. he said with a wink. He kissed my head. My brother loves you very much, and whatever you give him; he will absolutely love it. he said. But, I am more concern with what you got me. he said wiggling his eyebrows. I rolled my eyes with a laugh. Nice try, Maks. I said as Sleep came into the room and hopped onto the bed. I smiled. Hey son. I said kissing his head and petting him. Speaking of that, have you told him? Maks asked. I closed the box with the ring and put it back into the gift bag. Uh..I said my voice trailing off. Ramaka..I could feel Maks glaring at me. Maks, I'm scared..I said. He pulled me into his arms and rubbed my back. Ramaka, you have nothing to be afraid of. Val's always dreamed of being a father one day; you saw how he was shopping for all those toys tonight. he said. And, I know you two are going to be great parents; plus, Peta and I will always be there if you two need anything. he said. I sighed and hugged Maks back. You're the best Maks, I don't know what I would do without you. I love you so much; you're a good big brother. I said. He laughed and kissed my head. I love you too Ramaka, and I try. he said unwrapping his arms from me and grabbing the bag. Now, let's go get food. he said with a laugh and lead us down the stairs with Sleep right on our tail. When we got downstairs my eyes landed on the star on the table. Val walked over with Noelle. You want to? he asked. I picked up the star and looked at Noelle with a smile. I nodded. Val and I walked over to the tree and I handed Noelle the star. Val lifted her up and I helped her put the star on the tree. Yay! we all exclaimed as I heard Maks take a picture. I smiled as Val let Noelle down and she smiled. Food is ready! we heard Alan call. Woo! we all cheered and ran into the kitchen. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I pulled it out; Derek. Hey, how's the snow? I asked with a laugh. He laughed. See my Instagram? he asked. Yeah, it looks amazing; I'm sure you and your family will have a great time. I said. I'm sure we will. he said agreeing with me. How's everything over there? he asked. I smiled. So far, so good. I said. It's going to be a great Christmas. I said with a smile as Alan placed a plate with a piece of steak down in front of me. I smiled at him and he smiled back. Hey Derek, I'll talk to you later, we're going to start eating. I hope you have fun, and we'll see you soon. I said. Okay, have fun you guys; I'll see you soon! he said. Sounds good, Love you Derek! I said. Love you too! I could hear the smile in his voice. I smiled and hung up the phone. I grabbed Noelle and pulled her into my lap and cut a piece of the steak and she grabbed the fork before I could eat it. I gasped at her and we all laughed as I cut another piece and ate it.
