Derek and I walked into the house to see Val and Maks seated on the couch talking and staring at Val's phone. I motioned for Derek to be quiet and pulled out my phone and loaded SnapChat. I loaded Val's SnapChat to see a video of him and Maks. I took a screenshot and turned on my front camera and took a picture of Derek and I with the house door in the background. We're home 😏 and sent it to Val. I watched on my phone as it said Val opened the SnapChat and him and Maks looked at it. Val and Maks looked over at us. We waved at them and I glared at Val. Val, you can go bring in the tree. I said as I walked down to the basement to get the Christmas ornaments. I heard footsteps behind me. I ignored it and rummaged through all the holiday stuff. You alright? I heard Mak's voice ask. I'm fine. I said as I grabbed a box of Christmas ornaments. Maks grabbed my hands and made me look at him. Ramaka, what's wrong? he asked. I sighed. It's nothing Maks, don't worry about it. I said. You're sure? he asked. I nodded. I'm fine. I said with a forced smile. He nodded convinced. I handed him a box and walked upstairs to see Val and Derek bringing the tree into the house. Babe. Val said as him and Derek put the tree down. I acted as if I didn't hear him and started pulling stuff out of the boxes. Babeeee, don't do this. Val groaned. Sleep came over and sat next to me and I pat his head as I stood up and started wrapping the tinsel around the tree. Val walked over to me and grabbed the other end of the tinsel. Really? he asked. I looked at him. Can I talk to you? he asked. I nodded as he grabbed my hand and lead us upstairs to our room. He sat down on the bed and patted his knee. I sat down in his lap. What's wrong? he asked looking at me. I sighed. You know my family and I weren't close growing up, and I haven't spent Christmas with my family in years; I just want this year to be different. I said. Val pulled me into his arms and kissed my head. Babe, I love you so much. I'm sorry; I should've known how important and how much all of this means to you. he said. I shook my head as I cried onto his chest. I shook my head. It's okay. I said. Those boxing videos of you were hot. I said with a laugh. He pulled away and shook his head with a laugh. No, all jokes aside and my attractiveness aside; I know how much this means to you and I plan on making this the best Christmas ever. Not just for you, but for me also. he said. And I know Noelle is spending a few days with us, so I want this to be a great Christmas for all of us. I smiled at him and laid my head on his shoulder. I don't know what I ever did to deserve you. I said with a sigh. He laughed. I should be the one asking you that. he said. I looked at me. You make me a better person. he said. I smiled and kissed him. I sighed. I love you. I said. He smiled and kissed my head. I love you. he said. So, will you stop being mad at me? he asked. I rolled my eyes and pulled him up. I could never stay mad at you. I said as I hugged him. You're my fiancé, I can't stay mad at you forever. I said. He laughed and hugged me back. You're the best. he said. I smiled. So you keep telling me. I said as I kissed his cheek and grabbed his hand and walked back downstairs. Val walked over to the guys and helped them with the tree. I pulled out my phone and took a picture as Sleep walked over to them and sat down next to Val. JamaBJamaica: Couldn't ask for a better group of people (and my son 🐶) to spend the holidays with. Holidays are a time to reflect on the past year and this has by far been the best year of my life. It's had its ups and downs, but I don't know what I would do without these amazing men. All families are dysfunctional, but I wouldn't trade this one for anything. I love these four so much! ❤️ It's so great to have my squad back together! I stood back and admired the tree. Amazing work, boys. I said with a smile. Now, we pick Noelle up from school tomorrow, put the star on the top, and we'll be good. I said with a smile.
