Outside the bathroom, Dickie was still banging on the door, knowing Nicole was just ignoring him.

When he heard a thump, he began to get worried. "Nicole!"

Upstairs, Olivia and Elliot could hear him, but wasn't sure what the problem was. They headed downstairs.

"What's the problem?" Elliot asked his son.

"She won't come out of the bathroom or even answer me!"

Elliot banged on the door. "Nicole! Open the door!"

But Nicole didn't hear him. She was sprawled out on the floor, dying.

The way she had fallen, and because the tub was right by the door, Nicole's body was close enough for the blood to travel to where tile met carpet.

Nobody noticed, though.

When Elliot took the key he still had in his hand and unlocked the door, he knew something was wrong. The door, when he pushed it open, barely budged.

He looked down, to the doorknob, really, but saw a red trailed stain.

"Liv, go upstairs."

"No! Why?"

"Liv," he said in a harsh tone, "go. up. stairs."

"Fine, asshole," she said, exiting up to the kitchen.

"Dickie, you may not want to be around for this either. But call 911."

"Why?"

"Nicole needs help."

"But what-"

"Just do as I say, Richard!" Elliot nearly yelled, scaring the teenager enough into doing so.

He stayed behind as Elliot forced the door open, and saw Nicole lying in a pool of her own blood.

His fingers quickly dialed the emergency number and told the responder everything. Olivia was in earshot but too shocked to even move.

Elliot know how to help, as best as he could anyways. He took towels and wrapped them as tightly around the brunette as he could. She was lifeless, already had been losing so much blood. Her pulse was there, but fading. It was an excruciatingly long five minutes. The longest five minutes any of those family members had endured.

The EMT's took over, and Elliot immediately went up to get Olivia. She was sitting on the top step, sobbing silently yet hysterically. Elliot took off the shirt what was soaked in a teenage girl's blood. Olivia pulled Elliot down to her and cried into his skin.

"Is she dead? Is my baby dead?"

"No, she had a pulse."

"So you're saying she's not dead yet?"

"I'm saying she's not dead at all. It's okay. Dickie, go get Paige and get in the car!"
