"Should you seriously be driving?" Nicole asked as she got in.
Olivia gave her the death glare and took off before Nicole even had her seatbelt on.
"So how was group today?" Olivia asked.
"Good," Nicole always replied. She never went into detail, nor did she want to. Olivia never pressed her, either.
They got home and Nicole bounced out of the car as Olivia took her time. She was due in a few weeks, so she more waddled than walked.
The two women went inside, going their separate ways. Nicole ran downstairs and Olivia went up. She was tired, as per usual. After all the excitement - if that's even a good word to use - with Nicole and her hospital visit, Olivia settled down. She knew she had to anyways, what with now being weeks away from delivery. Her baby bump seemed to expand overnight. She originally had a cute little bump but now it was ginormous. The little baby kicked frequently, which Olivia loved. She laid on her bed, on her side, and tried to get some shuteye.
But 'shuteye' didn't last that long. She did fall asleep, but was awoken by a sharp pain in her lower back. It was a pain she knew all too well.
She grabbed her phone and dialed Elliot's work number.
At the precinct, Elliot was busy interrogating a perp.
"Admit it! You killed her! You ripped her clothes off in front of her friends and raped her! You burned her, you cut her, you bled her to death!"
ADA Casey Novak was watching with Cragen, then heard a phone ring. She narrowed her eyes and followed it down the hall to the squadroom. It was empty, since the detectives were elsewhere. She answered the phone on Elliot's desk.
As soon as the ringing stopped - before Casey could even say anything - Olivia spoke. "El?" she squeaked through her tears.
Casey had known Olivia for less than a year, and has only worked with her for roughly 4 months, but know something must be wrong. Olivia never came close to read up at all, and she was clearly in hysterics at the moment. "N-No, honey, it's Casey. Elliot's in interrogation right now. Is everything alright?" she asked, even though she knew otherwise.
Olivia let out a sob at the news. "I'm in labor," she told the attorney.
Casey's eyes grew wide, and she turned to see Cragen standing in the doorway.
"Okay, it'll be fine," she told Olivia. She covered the phone with her hand, then told the captain, "Get a bus to Olivia. Now."
Cragen did not object or even ask questions. Not after what happened to her daughter.
"A bus is being sent to your place now, Olivia. Where are the kids?"
Olivia thought, through her contraction pains. "Zach is at a friend's house, so is Lizzie. Dickie is probably sleeping. Or just in his room. Paige is in the basement- ow...Nicole is probably playing with her. We got back from her group an hour or so ago," she said quickly.
Amanda came in the room, after getting back from the ME on another case. "What's wrong?" she asked.
Casey moved the phone again. "Olivia is in labor. Is there any way you can get over there? Get the kids?"
Amanda was already on her way out.
"Olivia, Amanda is on her way. Elliot will be there once he's out of interrogation."
Olivia was hoping she wouldn't say that. She wanted Elliot. Fucking perp got priority, she thought to herself.
She could hear the sirens in the distance. Her contraction had subsided, hopefully for a longer amount of time.
