MINETTE POV
It's been a week and I haven't been leaving the Barren but now I need to go since there is another problem I have to solve.
"My sweets happy birthday!" Cedrik greeted me.
"I hate hearing that! It makes me sounds so old." I frowned in return.
"Are you mocking my age my sweets?" He faked hurt.
"Nope just stating the fact." I winked playfully at him.
"Tell you what, why don't you dress up for tonight and we will go somewhere." He placed me on his lap.
"I can't my secretary texted me last night about the land development in Vaasa. I need to check it for my new project." I declined and felt bad about it.
"You're leaving me on your special day?" He pouts.
"Sweets, I will return maybe two or three days from now. There are clients I need to meet near the area and I've been staling them for a week now." I added sweetness in my tone.
"What can I do you're the famous Mina Johansen in the human world." He sighed defeated knowing its true.
In human world I'm the vicious and ruthless Proprietor within a year I managed to put up a business with no sweat by simply compelling every client I met. Humans are gullible creatures on this planet.
"As soon as I'm done I'll be yours." I ran my hands on his chest.
"Too bad I have some plans tonight for us." His excitement was down.
"Now I'm guilty does making it up now will make you feel a little better?" My hand reaches his thigh.
By now I can feel his department getting up for vampires we have high tolerance on every sexual activity. He was the one I gave up my virginity and I didn't regret it.
"Not good enough." He gulped taking a sharp intake.
"Are you sure? Because I can definitely tell I am good at it." I slowly take off his belt and that's what it takes us to oblivion.
Once again we carried out the entire two hours ravishing ourselves and ended up panting less the sweat on him.
"You're really amazing my sweets." He whispered after some minutes.
"You too." I complimented him.
"Can I ask you something my sweets?" He turned serious.
"Anything." I eagerly replied.
"It's been two years since we're together and I want to claim you as my Chosen." He opened the topic again.
Finally! He is going to claim me but I don't know why a part of me wasn't excited from that news. When we we're still meeting secretly he confessed that I am his chosen. I was ecstatic because I feel the same way for him and I discovered his former clan vanished because of the war between Hunters. We have something in common he loathed them just as much as I do.
"Yes but we need to wait until I'm back from Vaasa and I'm well fed." I agreed smiling.
For a new born to be claim you've got to have enough human blood on your system then you'll wait twenty four hours to finally get use to your Chosen's blood. Within that period you're not allowed to feed after a month you can claim your other opposite Chosen without complications.
"I can't wait to finally sink my fangs on your neck my sweets." Cedrik eyes began to dilate again.
"So do I." I kissed him deeply.
Our kiss was interrupted when Margo's voiced suddenly came in. We groaned more like Cedrik does when he opened it.
"You always have the best of timing Margo." Note the sarcasm here.
"I'm good at that." She switched her gaze from me to him.
"What is it now Margo?" Cedrik knitted his eyebrows.
"I just want to greet M happy birthday and ask her plan for today." Margo smiled.
"An afternoon meeting with my client is the best plan so far." I get up from the bed.
I and Margo became partners or friends through time if you preferred that word. There's always a boundary on our relationship and she never defy any of my decisions.
"Another property will be added to your list my sweets. Congrats in advance! This will be a double celebration when you're back." Cedrik pecked my lips.
"What?! You're seriously working on your birthday? You should be out feeding or killing Hunters as your present." Margo blabbed.
"Yeah I really need to feed tonight someone drained all my energy." I saw Margo frowned.
"When are you going?" Margo stepped inside my chamber.
"In an hour while I'm away fend my man here then find out this vampire that lurked around the tunnel a week ago." I advised her.
"Have fun playing those humans." Margo head out to the door.
"You bet I do including the guys too bad you won't be there to taste their sweet indulgence." I made sure she got my words right.
"You never know! I might get it with one of the men it's been a while since I had the last." She giggled.
"Have fun with the men later!" I shouted while closing the door.
"No man will touch what's mine!" Cedrik objects and pulled me closer.
"Relax sweets I'm just teasing Margo earlier." I touched him seductively.
"You better be or I'll punish you for that." He whispered in my ear.
"I'm counting on it. Now will you be kind enough to let me pack?" I checked the time.
"I'll just have a shower." Cedrik let go of me.
Soon I heard the water dripping inside the shower I grabbed my duffel bag and gather my stuffs. After five minutes I joined Cedrik and make sure to have some actions.
"I'm going to miss you my sweets." He wrapped his arms around me.
"Sometimes I wonder if you're really a vampire. You're showing vulnerability and you're emotions are definitely on loose." I voiced out my thoughts.
"The day I saw you in the forest I know you have the tendency to make me crumbled." He confessed.
"Don't worry I'll be back soon if you miss me too much you know where to find me." I clasped my hands on his neck.
"I'll stay here and update you with any changes just promise me no more human to kill tonight. We have enough men to guard the Barren." He pulled away.
"No promises but I'll try. I need to go and settle everything in the Company." I kissed him one last time.
Since it's gonna be in the human world I need to put up an act. I'm partly human anyway and humanity should come natural.
"Come, I'll take you to your baby." He grabbed my hand and the bag.
We went to our own garage and I grabbed my car key it's one of my greatest possessions. I got it a year after my Company bloomed and still does. Cedrik was my driving instructor back then.
After calling out goodbye I put on my sunglasses and off I go.
