KARLSTEN POV
Three days inside the Dungeon is really weakening there is an energy surrounding us making our powers trapped. Andreas explanation was because of the earth element that is present and only him was not affected though. The longer we stay the shorter energy we get.
"Ette will come today right?" Andreas popped the question.
"I'm keeping my fingers crossed." My hopeful tone.
"If she does contact Ava immediately I'll be the one staying you both knew I can control Ette's power that's my final decision and none of you will defy me." Andreas used his authority on us.
"What about the Council? If they find out the killings Ette will be punish and let's not forget the Hunters. I'm sure by now they contact Gavin's father for alliance considering it was their people who are either killed or fed." Morgan brought up the idea.
"Exactly that's why you need to convince the Council first before them otherwise the Hunters will keep their plan on going. The last conversation I had with Gavin didn't turn out right." Andreas prompted the plan.
We haven't met Gavin's father since he was the head of their tribe. When Ette has gone missing they helped the search but stopped midway. They found out the last bitten human name Justin was a Hunter from then on they became our enemy and we can't blame them.
"We will do this discretely until Ette's memory is fully established when she's ready set up the meeting with the Hunters but keep her safe. Karlsten, I expect you to do it she is your Chosen and your responsibility." Andreas instructed.
"I will not fail again this time I made a vow three years ago and it will never stay that way." My determined voice rise.
"Karlsten, if ever you come back and I'm... gone take care of my wife and my daughter I want you to rule the Barren together with Ette." Andreas ruled the idea.
"Andreas, you're speaking as if you will not see Eloise again I will come back and take you in Germany. You will stay as the ruler and the Master so don't give that outrageous comment." I answered bravely.
We stayed silent when Ette emerged from the Dungeon. I can feel her power radiating three years really did great for her in some ways. I'm proud she is my Chosen and I'll never change it for the world.
"It's time you should know my decision." She stared with straight face.
"What is it going to be?" I prepared for her next words.
"I agree with the deal BUT... only one of you can get out of this Dungeon I want your Master to stay here I'm giving you ten minutes to discuss it." Ette declared dominantly.
"No need to wait we have decided that I will stay." Andreas was first to speak.
"Good but then again you have full control of the elements while I'm gone so let's make this fair shall we?" Ette gave a curt nod.
"Anything for you my daughter." Andreas answered with no regrets.
"I will extract your powers that way you can't escape anytime you want that is my assurance you won't go anywhere. As soon as I'm back I'll have it transmit to you do we have a deal?" Her plausible remarked.
"Yes it is." Andreas agreed with no doubt.
"Who will be the other prisoner who will join him?" She pointed her finger from me to Morgan.
"I'll stay behind with Master I don't have any more ability it's best Elder Karlsten goes." Morgan volunteered.
"Now since it's settled Elder, make sure I don't need to nurse you while travelling. I don't want to waste any more time so we will leave immediately." She gave me a stern voice.
She came inside her father's cell and did the extraction. I can see Andreas strong demeanour starts to weaken but never once complain. Soon as Ette's done with the procedure she retracted her hands something tells me she couldn't focus well.
"Are you ready?" She glanced my way.
"Yes." I affirmed to her.
"Follow me." She started walking.
In a wave of her hand the silver chains made from Vervain were out of my hands, ankles and wrists. The silver cell was gone and replaced with plain rusty steels unlike Morgan and Andreas cell and mouthed "I'll be back." He nodded and I towed Ette outside the Dungeon where the Elder vampire was waiting.
"Wait here." Ette stopped me.
From a distance I can hear how she talks to him it was supposed to be me she's comforting and kissing not him. I turned around trying to ignore their conversation. After their conversation she marched towards me with bored expression.
"Where are we going from here?" She broke the silence.
"We will meet two Apprentices on the outskirts of town then fly to Germany." I informed trying to calm myself.
"Why do we have to meet them? I can't go to Germany it's too far away from the Barren." She dimly responds.
"Because one of them will fly back to us while the Council is located in Germany." I briefed her.
"Fine! Wait here." She left me in haste.
Since I didn't shut off my emotions I felt anxious, happy and confident around her. Anxious, since I'm not sure how she will react after her memories is restored. Happy because I'm with her right now and she will forget that vampire. Lastly confident I might convince her to stop everything my thoughts ended when I heard a car engine roared a GranTurismo Maserati.
"Nice car." I praised it.
"Hop in and stop gawking. How long is the location from here?" She got irritated.
"Three hours then another half hour to the airport." I can see the shock on her face.
"DAMN IT! I hate travelling that long strap yourself good I'm driving in full speed." She groaned.
"YOU WHAT?! NO!! I won't allow that we can drive all day for all I care." I argued with her.
"Listen here Elder, this is my car my property I can do whatever the hell I WANT!!" She snapped again.
"We are in the human world they have laws unless you want to get a ticket its fine by me." I countered.
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR STUPID LAW!! Now, if you want to travel three hours then might as well get the hell out of my car and find yourself a ride. Choose before I kick you or better yet rip your head!" She retorted.
'Damn it, she's totally sexy when getting mad.' I mentally complimented her.
"You can drive at full speed of course." I answered shifting my position.
"That's what I thought now shut up Elder!" She revved the engine.
Once again I followed her like a lost puppy I know I'm a vampire and I have a choice but if it's all about Ette I'm defenceless. She's my Chosen.
