MINETTE POV
When I was left on the couch alone my mind jumbled from their information. In my eyes Margo is the victim while in their eyes she is the villain just like the Hunters. But what if Margo lied to me I admit a part of me wants to believe them but then I still doubt their sincerity. It's their words against Margo that I need to weigh carefully. The question is who should I trust this time? I don't know who is telling the truth. What if Margo and Cedrik are right that it's all plot against me? Louise is also right on the other hand I can detect if they are trying to fool me. I have to pretend for the time being and act nicely as I could. As soon as I reached the Master's Barren I will make sure I'll work out my plan.
"The plane is set to leave in an hour we need to get going now since its two hours flight." The Elder announced after a while.
"I wish you a safe journey Elder Karlsten." Apprentice Regan bowed.
"Thank you I will go back as soon as we figured out everything." Elder assured him.
"I'm sure you will. Goodbye for now." He guides us to the door.
I and the Apprentice girl went ahead getting sick of listening to their touchy goodbyes. All I want is to jump on that DAMN plane so I can do my necessary actions if only teleportation works that easily I'm already in the airport.
'I wish you're here to calm me down.' I contact him.
'Just think of me my sweets is everything okay?' Cedrik's worried tone.
'It will be.' Our link was cut when this Apprentice speak up.
"You can sit on the front I'll stay at the back." She pointed the black car.
"No. I have my own car I'll meet you both in the airport." I declined flatly.
"But Ette..." She's about to oppose.
"I'm not going to sit and wait for DAMN thirty minutes inside that boring car. I'd rather use mine for convenience." I acted snobbish.
"Ava, its fine let's go we can't force her to come with us just wait us at the VIP Lounge." He sided me.
"One more thing I prefer you call me Mina." I left them standing.
I didn't care anymore if they are watching me I continued to walk where my car is and started the engine. Just then I remember I haven't contacted Louise to tell her about my sudden departure so I picked up my phone and dialled her number.
(PHONE CONVERSATION)
Louise: Hi Boss, what can I do for you? (She started on business tone as usual)
Me: Hey Lou, I'm going to Germany for a couple of days. (I immediately informed her)
Louise: What? Why? I mean sorry for asking you shocked me. (She rants)
Me: It's about the conversation we had I'll tell you everything when I get back. In the meantime you know the drill in the office just keep me posted. (I expected she does by now)
Louise: I'll cancel all the meetings until you're back if it's important I'll set you on conference call. (Her witty comeback)
Me: Great! I will call you when I reach Germany in two hours maybe. (I checked the time in my car)
Louise: Have a safe flight Mina! (She sounded in hurry)
I remember it was the day they will do the radiation therapy for her sister.
Me: Will do send my regards to Lorraine and find time to email me her medical bill so I can arrange the payments. (I reminded her)
Louise: I will. Thanks Mina I really appreciate it a lot! (She answered relief)
Me: It's nothing I got go... bye! (We hanged up)
(END OF PHONE CONVERSATION)
After ten minutes I'm already in the airport and I realized I don't have any extra clothes with me. Good thing I always placed my credit card in my car compartment. I grabbed it and went to the nearest shop I don't give a hell if the two pathetic vampires arrived or not they can wait me for all I care.
I went to my first stop was the toiletries and hygiene next was intimate apparel. I bought five pairs since I don't know how long I'll be there then to ladies clothing area I picked two of each dresses, pants, shirts and tank tops. Lastly, a pair of stilettoes and rubber shoes in less than thirty minutes I'm done shopping. I paid everything and proceed to the nearest bookstore.
"I knew I'd find you here." The annoying Elder popped out of nowhere.
"Didn't think you're a stalker too." I placed the book back on the shelf.
"I know you love books so I took a wild guess." He pointed out.
"Yeah right." I rolled my eyes.
"I was actually searching for you for fifteen minutes." He added.
"Stop making a fuss about it you already found me." I flipped my hair.
"I... uhmm... just thought you changed your mind." He seems in panicked.
"Scared I'm running away huh... Elder Karlo?" I answered sarcastically.
"It's Karlsten." He corrected.
"Whatever." I browse some books to buy.
He followed me until I picked out The Lost Symbol and Da Vinci Code both by Robert Langdon. There's just something about this kind of books that entice me. I paid it and forgot someone is behind me until he speaks up.
"Are these belongs to you?" He stared at the seven bags on the floor.
"I got the information on short notice so I bought some things." I implied irritated.
"I see it's a lot. Come on, I'll help you carrying it." He offered.
"Not needed I already managed to carry it on my own for the last twenty minutes." I declined him.
"As you wish are you done now?" His tone became cold.
"Does it matter? Besides I'm not staying in Germany longer than a week I have a Chosen waiting for me, a Barren and Company to run." I nonchalantly respond to him.
"Company?" He seems surprised.
"I guess the Apprentice didn't know that fact considering he is your informant." I exasperatedly nod.
"What sort of business is it?" He sounded interested.
"Real estate. Now are you done interrogating me?" I rudely criticized him.
"I'm sorry it comes out that way. Anyway let's go Ava is waiting at the VIP lounge." He sighed.
"Go I need restroom it's not as if I have a choice now right?" I stood up and went to other direction.
I can sense he is trying to hold his patience down but I don't care. They are also on my wits end one wrong move and I will not hesitate to kill him. Soon as I'm done with my business I proceed to the lounge and saw them having an intense conversation.
