Ariel's POV
I woke up bright and early as I usually do. Athena told me what had happened while I took a shower.
"Lu-". My heart stopped and I fell against the wall.
"Luca!", I called and there was no answer "Luca! Answer me!". Still no answer, I wrapped the towel around my body and went into the room. Calm down Ariel, he's probably downstairs with Jayden
Something's wrong Ariel, Athena said panicky and I throw on whatever was in arms reach and went downstairs.
Yeah I know, I replied and she started sobbing. My heart slowed down again and I leaned against the wall.
"Where are they?!"
"Why have they disappeared?!"
"I don't know, but I swear I'll find them", Hayden's voice said softly and the cry of women filled the room. I walked down to the living room, seeing the pack women crying and holding small toys to their chests.
"What's going on?", I asked and Jayden looked at me worriedly "where is Luca?"
"I'm sorry Ariel, I'm sorry so sorry", she whispered hugging me and I stood confused
"The pack children, they were taken during the night, along with the rogues", Hayden spoke looking down at his hands and I froze.
"I promise I'll protect you until we get home".... I promised Luca and now he's gone.
"I'm going to get him", I said walking towards the front door, but Hayden took my arms "don't touch me!"
"We don't know who took him and where they are! I will not have you roaming around", he yelled in Alpha tone making everyone flinch, except for me
"I don't give a fuck! That's my little brother, I promise to protect him!", I growled back in the same tone "your patrol is shit, if whoever took the kids manage to take a bunch of kids in the middle of the night without making a sound! I'm going to find him and you're not gonna fucking stop me!". I ripped my arm from his grasped and ran for it. I shift and ran into the woods. It was rain, which messed up the trail that I was following- fuck!!
Try home.... Athena suggested, I nodded and started to run back home.
Hayden's POV
"What are you standing there for?! Go after her!", Jay yelled and I looked at her like she was crazy- why would I go after her? "Go after her or I will!"
"Stay here, I'll go get her", I sighed and looked at Nate "watch over them". With that I went to the woods, shifted, and followed Ariel's scent. Fortunately, I was an Alpha and my wolf refused to let go of our mate's scent, so the rain didn't effect us.
I know where she went, Area said impatiently
Lead the way, I replied and let him take control.
Ares' POV
Blood mixed with her scent, I growled and I ran faster...... She sat in the rain digging graves. She cried and screamed, hearing it made my heart stop. The houses were burned down, blood soaked into the dirt before me, a few bodies were still laying around, and others were in a hand dug grave. This was her pack, this was Ariel's pack.
What the fuck happened?!!
"Athena", I called after shifting and took a step forward, she growled "it's me, Ares"
"Don't come near me! You did this!". She yelled and stood "you wanted this all along to kill them!"
"No, I swear this wasn't-". I was cut off by her fist coming in contact with my jaw. Damn, can she hit!
"You monster! You killed them!", she screamed and kept hitting me "I hate you! I hate you!". I let her hit me until her hits were softer and she fell to the ground crying. I crouched down and held her in my arms, not caring about the mud, rain, or we were both bare.
"I swear to you I didn't do this", I whispered moving her hair to see those beautiful red eyes "if Hayden would've thought about it, I would've immediately jump in. I'm sorry for what happened, but I will find out who did this, Athena". She looked at me sheepishly and hugged me.
"Let's go back to the house... Jay is worried about you", I added and she nodded.
Nate prepare some towels and tea, I told him through mindlink.

"Oh thank goodness you're okay!", Jay sighed happily wrapping her in a huge towel then hugged her.
"Here ya go", Nate mumbled passing me a towels, I wrapped one around my waist then the other over my head "what do we do now?"
"We find them", I replied as I stole a glance at Athena, she was already looking at me- I'll find out who did this... "let's start with Ronan".
Ariel's POV
I laid in the warm bath Jayden made me and just stared into space. I was born and raised to be an Alpha. Now..... My pack is gone, I have nothing to live for.
What about Luca? He's still out there, Athena commented and I sighed
If Ronan has him, there's no doubt that he might kill him to get back at me.... I replied and she whined. I felt empty, furious, and melancholy. I felt dead....

My home...
All gone....
"Ariel", Jayden called from the bathroom door and I looked at her "I- I laid out your clothes and made you some tea"
"Oh um, thanks", I spoke but it came out as a low whisper
"It's gonna be okay", she gave me a small sincere smile, before leaving
How does she know? She doesn't know how it feels to lose your pack. I don't feel okay... I don't think I'll ever be.....
