"Good morning!", Jayden greeted while cooking and I smiled
"Morning", I replied going into the fridge to get some orange juice
"Not having breakfast?", Dave asked and I smiled
"Not yet, I have practice", I replied jugging down the drink and washing the cup then going to the gym. Others were in there training and when I came in, they greeted with a "good morning Luna". God, I hate being called that..
Athena's POV
I made sure my hair was in a ponytail and bandages on my hands were on right. I wore my black yoga pants, sports bra and my black converses- my favorites.
I stepped into the gym and some heads turned to me. They bowed and I held up my hand, signaling them to get back to whatever they were doing
"Good morning Athena", someone said and I froze. His voice was deep, smooth and made every hair on my body stand up. He was already sweating, his black tank top clinged to his body and his hair tussled. He wore basketball shorts and old sneakers. He wrapped an arm around me causing me to squeak- what the hell?! I never squeak! I looked at him and blushed
He's perfect!
"Sweetheart, I know I'm handsome, but we have training to do", he whispered smirking and I rolled my eyes
"You won't be this cocky after I whip your ass", I whispered back and made my way to the boxing ring
"Oh, so it's like that", he chuckled and took off his shirt "you're going down". I laughed seeing the childish grin on Ares' face, he looked younger- more free... Nate smirked and shook his head
"Don't bust your ass", he commented and Ares glared at him
"Athena verses Ares?", Cathy called and I turned to see her and Johnathan, in gym clothes- they're just inseparable now "babe, get the popcorn"
"Don't start Cathy", I squinted my eyes at her as she sat on the bench near the ring. My attention returned to Ares, who was standing at the other corner across from me. I watched him fight before, he was fast and focused.
"Don't hold back, because I'm your mate", I commented and he smiled
"Babe, I never hold back". The bell rung and he came at me full force- he wasn't kidding
Since when does an Alpha ever hold back? Ariel asked.
A few punches, kicks, an a German suplex later XD.......
We were both out of breath. Ares was under me and my knee was on his throat. Not hard enough to choke him, but enough to keep him down. Sweat dripped down my face, neck, and back; same with Ares.
"And Athena is the winner!!", Cathy cheered throwing her hands up, Johnathan and Nate started laughing
"Good match", I smiled getting up and held my hand out, he chuckled and took my hand
"How does it feel to lose for the first time Ares?", John asked after recovering from his laughing fit
"Eh it's okay", he shrugged and pulled me into a bear hug "she's a goddess, I knew I was gonna go down"
"Then why did you fight me?"
"Because I needed the training", he answered smiling and I laughed "come on, let's get cleaned up. The advisors are waiting for us". The 'royal' advisors are the secondary helpers if the Beta, Nate, is doing whatever. They're basically the government and Supreme Court in our kingdom. I haven't had a chance to meet them, because I have been making sure everyone is settled in their rooms.
