Athena's POV
"It's good to have everyone out of the castle once and a while", Rose, Cathy's wolf, commented as we laid on the hot sand "the cold is not for everyone"
"Yeah, just wish we had a private beach", I sighed looking over at Ares, who was waiting for drinks at the smoothie place "don't want to have fights with the humans"
"You mean you don't want any human women to flirt with your man", Rose teased and I rolled my eyes "it's true"
"Okay, yes and no", I sighed looking out at the pack kids playing and making sand castles
"Then go flirt with him", she suggested and I scoffed "you know how to, because yours truly taught you"
"No, I'm gonna let him be today", I mumbled and she rolled her eyes
"Too late, I have a plan", she said and I groaned "go in the water, get all wet and sexy, stick a lollipop in your mouth and flirt with your mate, before one of those hormonal females do". There was no way of arguing with Rose, she was a persistent and I would be wasting my breath just arguing with her
"Wait, why a lollipop?", I asked and she shrugged
"It turns guys on for some reason", she answered handing me a lollipop the was in her bag "okay, go go"
This is a terrible idea. I splashed around the water a bit then walked over to Ares with the lollipop in my mouth
Just be totally chill Athena, don't worry you got this, Rose mindlinked me and I nodded
"Hi", I greeted in a seductive voice and I saw him physically shiver- well that was easy "do you happen to know what's good here?"
"No, first time here", he replied looking at me and smiled- guess he's catching on "guessing this is your first time here too?"
"Yup, and so far I like what I see", I smirked biting my lip and he blushed while laughing "so do you swim, because you've been standing for a while"
"Actually, I was waiting for my order"
"Those are a lot of drinks for one man"
"I'm here with my family. Well I mean my closest friends and their families", he commented and I pretended to look surprised "I don't have a wife or kids"
"Wow, so straight forward", I teased and he bit his lip- damn that lip bite!
"I didn't want to scare you off so quickly", he winked and took one of my hands "I'm enjoying your company"
"Well, if you want to keep enjoying my company then I suggest you join me in the water", I whispered running my other hand down his bare chest
"How about you meet me there, I'll get these to my friend", he suggested, I nodded and walked off to the water while swaying my hips.
Ares' POV
Goddess, she's killing me right now
"Hey Ares, how's the smoothies coming?", Nate asked and I kept staring at Athena walk off
"Do me a favor and wait for those", I replied ignoring his question and he chuckled
